That everything was available onsite free of charge. Kayaks, paddleboards, snorkel gear, lifejackets, coconut husk even insect repellent, sunscreen, fresh bread, butter, milk all the condiments. The beds were very comfortable, the location was the best view and so close to everything. Kept immaculately clean everyday with the grounds, pool, rubbish cleared every morning. Well done team!!

Samuel the host was amazing to us and made us feel very special! We were staying very close to our friends which was super handy and only a short walk to Muri town/shops. Was great to have our own little spot for the week and made us feel at home. The hosts made us feel very special and looked after the entire trip by giving us lots of tips, fresh fruit, airport transfers etc. We felt very lucky to have found such great accommodation and we will definitely be back!!

Cabaña mirando al mar. Zona muy tranquila. Todo el alojamiento es sumamente cuidado, llenos de detalles en su decoración. Cuanto más tiempo estábamos, más podíamos apreciar todos los detalles. La cabaña es grande. La cocina un poco anticuada, pero cumplía su función. Los desayunos y cenas que hicimos frente al mar, escuchando romper las olas desde la habitación es una maravilla. El trato de los dueños excelente. Siempre pendientes de lo que pudiéramos necesitar, pero dejando distancia para disfrutar de intimidad. Nos facilitaron el uso de 2 bicis y de dos máscaras y tubos, que, para salir del paso, nos resultaron muy útiles, sobre todo las bicis (básicas pero nos permitieron dar la vuelta entera a la isla y disfrutar varios días de ellas). El autobús que rodea a la isla para en la misma puerta. Los paseos por la playa son de auténtico paraiso. Playa desierta, con palmeras y las olas rompiendo en el arrecife de coral que está a poco más de 50m de la orilla. Tiene un pequeño supermercado a menos de 100m, que lo hace muy útil para organizar desayunos y cenas en la cabaña. Cercano a Muri Lagoon, con la bici un pequeño paseo. Se puede ir andando también, aunque son unos 3km para llegar a la zona más interesante.

Apartment is very spacious, big living room, batch and kitchen downstairs and two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. One twin and one matrimonial bedroom, the matrimonial one with a great view and balcony. Yes, it is a little run down and it may need a refreshing but everything was in good working order and mattress quality and sheets were great. Fully functional kitchen with all the utensils, spices, dish soap, etc. Great pool as the beach in front is not swimmable, too many rocks. Great use of kayaks to go to the motu just in front where the beach is just lovely. Staff very very kind and professional. A rental car is very recommended, 5 minutes drive to Muri lagoon and 10 minutes to town (Avarua). Would for sure come again, highly recommended.

What a beautiful, spacious cottage! We absolutely loved our (extended) stay here at Mango Cottage. It’s a little set back from the road so you have privacy, but also really safe. The plunge pool also gets sun all day so it’s a great place to catch some rays and cool off after a beach day. They have everything you need here including a WiFi hotspot and fully stocked kitchen. There a small shop 2 mins walk in one direction, and a larger one 10 minutes in the other. We didn’t get one, but I would recommend a car or scooter, which are great for the rainy days. Muri Beach is also a 30 minute walk away, making this cottage really well placed. Tony and Lhia were exceptional hosts and even though they were next door, we didn’t feel like we were being watched over at all. They’re very knowledgable about the island and have loads of suggestions of things to do. Also, we could not be more thankful for all the support they provided us when we became stranded due to the flooding in Auckland. Words cannot do enough justice for how much we appreciated their care. We would really recommend staying here and hope to come back in the future.

This place was amazing. I wasn't sure it would live up to the pictures, but when we walked in, it felt like a perfect little beach house! We walked out onto the beach the first morning and saw rays swimming in the water! It rained quite a bit while we were there, so we spent more time indoors than we had thought we would, which was fine with us. We were so comfortable and spent a lot of time in the back of the house listening to the waves while we read. The location was close to everything we needed. I can't wait to go back again!
