Picture perfect (postcard-worthy) views of snow capped mountains over beautiful Lake Thun. Building was single family home modified (fully renovated) in 2021 into two apartments; both have modern interiors and are very clean. Upper “Jungfrau” unit has two bedrooms with comfy mattresses, upstairs loft with pull-out couch, a full kitchen, large dining area, separate shower from bathtub, washer/dryer and garage. Bus stop 3 minute walk away provides access to adorable town of Sigriswil up the hill, or larger communities of Interlaken, Thun or Bern. Same bus can connect you to Zurich (north) or Zermatt (south) in little over 2 - 2.5 hours either direction. Comfort and location can’t be beat. Wicki Family hosts have thought of **everything** to make your stay a holiday dream. True perfection!

We love this place so much. Yes we have to drive up but the drive there was simply beautiful. This place has an amazing view and even more amazing host. Family Wicki provided us with some groceries when we urgently needed them cos we did not realize the stores would be closed early. They were always in touch with us, asking how we were and met us personally. I would highly recommend this place!

I stayed in Chalet Egglen for 4 days on our trip with my husband, daughter and parents. We were welcomed by Markus (AirBnb owner) and given a house tour with pamphlets and maps on the surroundings. As a local, he provided us some great tips on restaurants, where to go on a rainy day, how to navigate around etc. We did a bunch of research beforehand so we knew what exactly we wanted to do in Interlaken and surrounding areas, but you can not beat a local’s insight. The house was very clean, very well equipped and owner was very responsive. We had a few questions here and there and he was beyond helpful. He knew it was our 2-year daughter’s b’day and he even left a cake at our doorstep, going the extra mile to make our time lovely at his place. When you wake up the first thing you see is lake and mountains, the views are to die for. The neighborhood is so pretty. We were split between staying in Interlaken vs here, but so glad we picked this place. 15 min drive from Interlaken, 15 min drive from Thun – perfect location. We loved everything about this place and host. We travel a lot and have never stayed at a better house than this. I would highly recommend this property and Markus’ hospitality!

Easy check in process to get key to the house. The views from the house were stunning and from the balcony with very little to block the views. Can see the mountains and lake from the house. The local bus stops in front of the house. The house was well insulated and warm. Whole house to ourselves. The bed linens were thick. Spacious living room and dinning room. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, plenty of utensils, plates, waffle iron, a fondue pot, electric stove, electric tea kettle, dishwasher, trash bin, refrigerator, and a coffee maker. There's a washing machine in the basement to wash clothes and then dry them on the clothes line in the boiler room. There was free wifi in the house. Plenty of closet and drawer space to store our clothes and shoes. Two bathrooms to share (1 upstairs with a shower, 1 on the ground floor). The neighborhood was peaceful at night and located in a quiet town. A fairly short distance to Lake Thun shoreline. Someone came by to mow and maintain the front lawn. Central location to places we wanted to go ie. Town of Thun, Interlaken, The St. Beatus Caves, Jungfrau, Bern, Lucerne. Extremely affordable lodging compared to places like Interlaken and bigger too! Fairly quick response from host for any questions you may have for them. Provides check in instructions days in advance. Ideal lodging if you plan to rent a car.
