The list of positives of my 3 night stay at Thangkop House is a long one: Good wifi, hot showers (both of which are scarce in Ladakh), spacious, clean rooms with lovely views, seamless check-in process, hot tea and biscuits on arrival etc etc. But what made my stay at Thangkop House so memorable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Dolma and her son Wong. I had a million and one questions upon arrival as I needed help with planning my motorbike trip in Ladakh - not only did they patiently answer each question, but also organised my permits and motorbike for me, helped me plan the route, gave advice on the necessary provisions and stored my excess luggage during my 5 day trip. It is no exaggeration to say that were it not for them, my trip through Ladakh would not have been as memorable. Exceptional.

Very accommodating and excellent hosts. Not many guests, as most people stay at their larger location across the street. I originally booked 3 nights online, but stayed again after I returned from a trek and they changed me the same excellent rate I got online.

All units come with a seating area, a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with slippers, bidet and shower. At the guest house, all units are soundproof. At the guest house, the units include bed linen and towels. They try their best to help me. The room is clean, the garden is comfortable, and the location is convenient. Thanks a lot:))

The nearest airport is Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, 119 km from the guest house. The host family is amazing. They’re all so nice and interested. We had a lovely dinner with them - beat momo I’ve ever had. And wonderful room with a nice western toilet and great bed (and the view is just breathtaking)
