200 metres from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools in Porto Moniz, Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels features accommodation with access to a sauna and hot tub. The location is great, studio is spacious and well equiped. Nice facilities and lovely breakfast with beautiful view. The staff was very nice, polite and helpful. Special thanks to Ana Katarina, Dilia and Adriana for welcoming us.

Casal da Penha Apartments offers accommodation within 600 metres of the centre of Funchal, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. The apartment had everything that I needed for my stay, clean and well appointed. The restaurant downstairs, owned by the same people served excellent food and offered a discount for those renting the apartment. The host Maikel was excellent, attentive and generous, allowing me to stay for a final night free of charge when it became apparent that I had made a mistake with my departure date. If I return to Madeira, I will definitely consider these apartments again. 10 out of 10

Situated within 200 metres of Sao Roque Beach and 300 metres of Banda d'Alem Beach, Fort Bay Suite Apartments features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Machico. Beautifully renovated apartment right in the center of Machico. While Machiko is not a touristy destination it's a perfect place to stay if you want to access several hikes in the area and we loved getting the local flavor of the town which is much less touristy than Funchal. The apartment was perfect in the best location one block from the water with lots of restaurants within a block, including a delicious coffee shop across the street. Completely new and clean. Everything was thought of down to the last detail, including a care package of local goodies. The host was easy to get in touch with and very responsive. I initially was concerned about comments regarding construction, but while there was some construction the noise did not bother us at all.

Offering a terrace and city view, Alexia Room is set in Funchal, 1.7 km from Marina do Funchal and 15 km from Girao Cape. Hostess was friendly & provided a variety of activities & restaurants in Funchal. Her suite was very clean & comfortable, beautiful bed linens/pillows along with a microwave& coffee maker. Alexia room was a perfect for a short stay & the neighbourhood was easy to navigate once you got used to the hills of Funchal. Great place for solo travellers.

Boasting a rooftop pool and views of mountain, Blue House is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ponta do Sol, 70 metres from Lugar de Baixo Beach. Great location, close to the Ponta do Sol. You can hear and see the ocean right from your balcony. Beach is about 100m away, you only need to cross quite a busy street. There is also a nice, glazed private pool on the outside terrace as well as some sunbeds and parasols. Parking is free, on the street. We did not have any problems with street parking there.

Our hosts were very kind and even gave us suggestions regarding transportation and nearby attractions! The apartment is in a great location, right next door to shopping center and a 10-minute walk from the beautiful downtown area. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable 5-night stay.

Situated in Funchal and only 500 metres from Almirante Reis Beach, Apartments Madeira Barreirinha features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. 100% recommend this accomodation. Sarah was a super friendly host who welcomed me in the apartment and gave all kinds of tips about Funchal and the area. The apartment was very clean, spacious and had a comfy bed and a really good shower. The parking below the apartments is a big advantage. Location is perfect, it´s a short walk to the restaurants and city centre. I didn´t use the pool or roof terrace that much, but it has an amazing view and definitely great to have on the hot summer days.

Set in Fajã da Ovelha and only 28 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, Vi Naturae Glamping offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed 3 nights in dorm 1 and the place was unique experience. - watching sea horizon sun set from the bed room, balcony, moon lights into the bed room . The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Definitely recommend this experience to others
