The owner Johnny is very contactable, offers great local advice, does tours of the island (which we did and enjoyed) and he’s just a really nice guy. Would deffo stay here again.

Just 80 metres from the Lagoon access to Sea view, La maison Du Voyage offers a relaxed tropical haven with free snorkelling equipment. We loved everything about our experience and stay with Isabella and Edward. They are wonderful hosts and their property is clean and in a fabulous location. You will need a car to travel to them. You should hire a car anyway to see the entire island, its gorgeous. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests during our stay and the breakfast of bread and fresh fruit was delightful. We highly recommend staying at La Maison Du Voyage and look forward to going back!

Located in Uturoa in the Raiatea region, Ohana RBNB studio "Havai " provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I found it very comfortable for a solo woman traveller. The hostess Marie & her husband were also very empathetic seeing I was alone and gave me pizza on my first night. They also bought dinner for me on my last night. Truly recommended & great Wi-Fi, very clean, air con, tv with utube Netflix etc. 100m to Yee Foo Magasin & super comfortable.

We arrived in the dark, and our host was so gracious, and came out to meet us at the street, because we were a little lost. This property far exceeded our expectations and was even better than the pictures. The host were so kind and assured that every need was met. The property is so beautifully designed. Guests have maximum privacy, but use of all the amenities. We had such a nice visit with our hosts and received great recommendations for things to see and great restaurants. I didn’t think places like this still existed. It is a slice of paradise!

Le Neliza Beach Lodge Raiatea is located in Opoa and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. Interaction with host was exceptional - directions to Lodge were clear and easy to follow, we were greeted by a local young woman who explained all the appliances etc plus a rental car was available for us when we arrived and a recommendation for a day trip was outstanding. Lodge was beautiful - full of fresh flowers, kayacks and outdoor lounges etc were all included, safe and quiet with a lagoon just metres from the outdoor balcony. Fantastic sunsets.

Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake. As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Set in Tevaitoa in the Raiatea region, RAIATEA - The BEACH HOUSE - plage sur le lagon! has a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The location on the lagoon was amazing. We really appreciated being able to borrow the two kayaks, and snorkel from practically the back door. The host was very responsive. The location was convenient and easy to find. The host has a very well behaved dog, and a friendly cat who would stop by for a visit. I said it once, but I will say it again, the location on the lagoon was amazing.

Overlooking a private white sandy beach, Fare Oviri Lodge offers Polynesian-style bungalows with a private patio and lovely mountain and sea views. Breakfast was very good. It was nice to have a range of homemade jams to choose from. The location is perfect for resting or being active - a variety of activities are available at the site. The hosts are excellent - very friendly and helpful.
