Set in Egilsstadir, within 5.9 km of Hengifoss and 45 km of Kirkjufoss, Hengifosslodge Skáldahús offers accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests... Great place to stay in an even better location just next to the nature! We stayed with my wife for two nights in their beautiful forest room “Skogar”, a wooden fully equipped private room with private bath. Very clean, with comfortable beds. We managed to cook our dinner and also prepared our breakfast in the kitchen. Lastly, the hosts were so friendly and kind that we thought we have been staying in our home place! Many thanks to Isabelle and her husband for their hospitality! It was a pleasure to meet you!

Absolutely fantastic stay in Vopnafjordur. This was my second time and I wish I could have stayed one more night. The views from the cottage are breathtaking. There is a terrace for you to enjoy with good enough weather. Kitchen is well appointed. The hosts were all wonderful - good communication and very accommodating. There is a shared kitchen / utility space in the lower cottage where you can do laundry. All in all, an amazing base if you want to discover more about Vopnafjordur. I can't say enough good things about this place.
