The owner was so friendly and made you feel extra welcome. We had just finished our 3 day hike from Xela and you could tell he was even trying to make sure the room was ready asap for us. He even prints out a little sign welcoming you which is such a nice touch. The terrace is lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is just a short walk out of town and has a more local feel.

This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

The owner and employees are super friendly and extremely helpful and welcoming. The beds are comfortable, and the hostel offers everything one could need, including kayaks for rental, free drinking water, and the infrastructure to wash and dry clothes. Overall, a real gem of a hostel!

Dispondo de jardim e vista da montanha, a Amankaya Atitlan é uma pousada recentemente renovada, localizada em Cerro de Oro, a 18 km do Vulcão Atitlan. The house was very spacious with a full kitchen for use. Would recommend stocking up on groceries prior to reaching the home. The view was stellar and the house was on a tranquil and serene portion of the lake.

Clemens was a great host and assisted in arranging private lanchas for arrival and departure. The kitchen facilities are nice to have and it is good to follow the suggestion to buy groceries in Panajachel before coming to the house. It is a very private location. Especially enjoyed the hammock and watching sunrises and sunsets from the porch.

The apartment is beautiful & unique. The location offers a spectacular & mesmerizing view of the lake! Wish we had stayed longer than 3 days.
