It is a beautiful property located walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The hosts/owners are wonderful and very caring people. They picked me up from the airport and offered to drop me back for my return flight. They have a kitchen area for cooking your own meals, if you want. You will feel very welcome here. I loved my stay at Te Ariki and wish I could have stayed longer.

Those who are not looking for super comfort, but an interesting experience. I felt great. The owner is very pleasant and friendly. Everything! This is a lovely place to stay on Rapa Nui. You are a short stroll to the center of town, to the Ahu Tahai and the ocean. Carlos and Pamela are the most gracious hosts. They will make you feel welcome and can help arrange tours, etc. You really could not ask for better hosts. The rooms are very nice and super clean, and have a small fridge. . My bed was so comfortable. The shared kitchen is spacious and clean and well equipped. There is a living room to hang out in and a nice backyard. Hostal Makohe, in my opinion, is really a step up from the usual hostal.
