The staff was by far the best part of this stay. The one of the most friendly and accommodating group of people I have come across. The room was spacious enough to have all your luggage organized. The room and toilets were exceptionally clean and shower had great water pressure. Forgot to mention the breakfast. The best complimentary breakfast of any location I have stayed with an amazing backdrop of the ocean. Laundry was 1000 LKR / kg. Surfboard lesson $30 USD / person. Surfboard rental was 1000 LKR / h or 4000 LKR / day. Room 10/10 Food 10/10 Vibes 11/10

Loved absolutely everything about this place! One of the best stays we’ve had internationally. The host and his family were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. Made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. Location was great and has every facility you need, plus really good scooter hire. Airport or train station pick up. Very clean and comfortable room and the best value for money we had in Sri Lanka.

I was planning a fee days and ended up staying more than a week. I felt so comfortable. I was at home. Irish, the owner, would come everyday to check we were good, cleaning the common areas, checking if we needed something… He would stay and tall with us. Felt like a friend. I was sad when leaving and if I visit again Sri Lanka, Weligama Bay House is my comfort place.

perfect budget friendly and quiet place! and excellent owner, he is very friendly and offers all the services from laundry to food, If you get a bit ill he will treat you with the local herbs and meds too for free. overall great place to stay! highly recommended!

Had the most amazing stay here at the home of Happi and Tiron, they were such amazing hosts, I extended to 8 days. Happi is the most lovely of hosts, she stopped for ages to chat to me about the local area. Nothing was too much trouble for both of them and she never stopped smiling 🌞 The area was perfect location just outside the busy hustle of Weligama, but still in front of the surf. I walked every morning just down the beach to Aftersurf rooftop for their sunrise smoothie bowl it was delicious. The Villa felt very secure and safe, the room was air conditioned and the bathroom very modern and up to date! The fact they are organising guests and cleaning the rooms themselves whilst also still building and maintaining the property is astounding! I cannot wait to see how beautiful this building will be once it’s finished, it has such character, and there will be great views from the new floor, I’m so excited for them, it’s so nice when you are giving your money to support such lovely peoples dreams whilst also having such a lovely stay. Thank you both for your hospitality! I cannot wait to come back and see the place in a few years time, all the best Nay 🙂

What an amazing place with amazing hosts! The place really felt like a home. There is private entry, leaving you with a lot of privacy. The room and the attached bathroom are spacious and clean. There is also a table with chairs inside so you can also do some work there. The location is great! Just between the 2 main roads of Weligama so it’s quiet and not even a minute walk to the beach. The town centre with budget-friendly local restaurants, big supermarket is about 8 mins walk. The owners are very friendly! I was asked every 2 days if I needed cleaning, even on my last day! Thank you for everything :)!
