Álvaro and his family are extremely helpful and attentive. When I mentioned that I wanted to see the bioluminescent bay, Álvaro told me no problem and a local guide came by after dark about an hour later. Most of the other guests were Colombian tourists and everyone was exceedingly kind and friendly. I mostly communicated in Spanish with staff but Álvaro speaks English well. The beach is truly minutes away and so relaxing. An excellent getaway! (Altho WI-FI was still good if you want to be connected)

The place is really calming and authentic. Gregorio is an Amazing host, and all of his family that works in the place are very kind and welcoming! Gregorio helped us with everything that we need and gave us a lot of information about nice places on the island.

The location is unbeatable, and is hands down the best spot on the island. The staff are great and the manager Andres goes the extra mile to make your trip to/from the island easy and your stay awesome. The whole vibe of the place is very relaxed and you can do as much or as little as you want. The rooms and accommodation style is definitely basic and involves being close to nature but that was a plus for us, something to be aware of if you’re looking for luxury. We only speak very basic Spanish but there was always someone available to help us translate when needed. The wifi worked well 90% of the time, and there were some books in different languages and games available to borrow at reception.

Really clean and comfortable accommodation. We stayed a couple of nights and we really enjoyed it. Off the beaten track activities made our days! Make sure to ask the host to bring you to the most beautiful beach you'll probably see in Colombia but that should stay secret ;)

Gregorio (host) is amazing and very helpful with what to visit or where to book tours and stuff. The place is of course a camping spot and you should arrive with expectations of natural sounds.

Fantastisk sted! Rolig og idyllisk øy, og Fragata har den desidert beste beliggenheten på øya. Mange ulike utesoner, og flere steder å bade. Veldig hyggelig og behagelig personale. Vi følte oss veldig velkommen. Kjempegod mat og variert meny - vi var her i seks dager og gikk ikke lei.

The property itself is beautiful. My daughters said that it reminded them of the Encanto house but in the Caribbean. It was quaint, the beach was gorgeous and the views were like no other. In addition, Manuel the property caretaker and family were so kind. Manuel and his wife took care of everything we needed. I couldn’t ask for more.

We spent a week at Villa Los Cocos, the place is beautiful, vey clean and tidy, the pool is great and the food was great. Judith, Carlos and Keyner were all very nice and helpful. We had a great time with our family, by the sea, close to nature in a wonderful villa.

The hotel is amazing. You are away from all the overrun party locations on Barú and have a beach to yourself. A boat will pick you up to take you to Rosario Island or the reef. It is very secluded, the beach and the service as well as the restaurant are excellent.
