Wir haben uns hier unglaublich wohl gefühlt, einfach alles ist toll. Die Anlage, der Pool mit dem atemberaubenden Blick aufs Meer, das Essen, die Menschen, der Strand, einfach alles. Wir würden sofort wieder hier buchen. Alle waren so freundlich, fast familiär. Danke, für den schönen Aufenthalt.

The property was really beautiful with all the flowers and the colours. Location was fantastic, directly across the street from the Sea. The owner/manager of the property was very friendly and super accommodating.

Wir hatten eines der kleinen Häuser direkt am Strand. Es waren wunderschöne Tage. In der Küche war alles vorhanden. Sogar scharfe Messer (ist für mich immer wichtig wenn ich koche). Angel, der Manager, und seine Mannschaft machen eine sehr gute Arbeit. Unsere Erwartungen wurden in jeder Beziehung übertroffen. Eine 10 mit 5 Sternen.

My family & I were treated like family by the owners Peggy and Harold. They are the ultimate hosts, very attentive and kind We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our visit was to explore nature, hiking, waterfalls, and to learn about Garifuna culture. The rooms were very clean and well equipped for a quick breakfast/meal and to recharge after a day of exploration. There was ample coffee, sugar, creamer, fridge, and a toaster. Each day we had fresh beach towels and clean mugs, plates, and cutlery. The location is excellent, a stone's throw to Hopkins beach and several resorts where you can spend a day and/or eat at the restaurants or other nearby restaurants. There was even happy hour at the Jaguar Reef resort which had spectacular views. If you want a more local vibe Hopkins Village is an easy 15 min walk, or short bike/taxi ride away where there are several stores and restaurants. My family and I highly recommend Cosmopolitan; it was excellent for our needs.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, hot shower, spacious bedroom (Room 1). Our host Christie could not have been more attentive, and on the occasion that she was off duty, the housekeeper lady was very helpful. Local Mayan cocoa farm Che'il (where Prince William and Kate visited) accessible by local bus - highly recommended. Enjoyed Thongs Cafe on seafront. Cycled to Rhum Bar at Hopkins Bay Resort (north) and enjoyed drinks/eats at reasonable prices. Super bakery - bright pink door, on the way out of town south.

It was an oasis. So beautiful and inspiring. The buildings on the property felt like an extension of the eco-culture grown and built from the land and in relation to the land. The cabins were so comfortable and gave me what i needed. Access to the kitchen, the spiritual centre and the drumming space was generally granted. I felt like i was home away from home. Uwahni was an excellent host—a true visionary living and sharing the richness of the Garifuna culture. Mr. Eugene was an excellent resource as was Uhwani—who provided me with what i needed learn more about my root culture. Rooted is a good word for this place. It’s rooted. Real and comfortable. The paddle ride over to the island was so special. It felt like i was sequestered but able to move freely once i got used to kayaking. Uhwani was so generous with her knowledge—always willing to help and share practical and inspiring pieces of knowledge. I never felt like i was too much trouble. It was easy to book day trips out and to different sites and even to book off the beat and track activities. I also took part in the cultural classes; cooking, drumming, coconut picking, enrichment about historical and social context of the Garifuna people etc. What an experience like

Das Frühstück war recht dürftig, nicht abwechslungsreich. Es gab jeden Morgen das gleiche. Die Mengen recht dürftig. Die Sauberkeit im Küchenbereich lässt sehr zu Wünschen übrig. Da darf man nicht genau hinsehen.
