Oh you need to press a button to turn on warm water... a bit before taking a bath. Nice staff...helpful...

Only 1.5 km from JR Shiojiri Train Station, Hotel Route-Inn Shiojiri features simple yet modern accommodations and a free breakfast for all guests. To no one's surprise, a Japanese hotel is super cleanly and orderly. The Route Inn gives you the option of having a light daily cleaning and a full daily cleaning. I opted for the light cleaning, since I'm not a messy person, and I was only staying for 4 days. The breakfast provided was also fantastic. Served in a buffet style, the hotel restaurant provided a variety of both Western style and Japanese style breakfast foods.

It is a calm, soothing and serene place to stay. there is a public bathroom if you prefer to have a soak in a big space. Soaking in a hot bath means a good night sleep. the breakfast provided was excellent. I feel i have been pampered.

Guests at Fukashiso can enjoy relaxing in the spacious public/private baths and request for massage services. We used this as one night stop over after visiting the Kurobe Alpine and before going to Nagoya. Was pleasantly surprised with an extremely good dinner. The bath was also nice. Except we are not used to sleeping on futons.
