Loved almost everything ! We were there on the hottest day and the room had no aircon , however the dud have a fan so it was manageable.

It is not my first time over there.
It is not my first time over there. It is a very charming little village with things to do in every season of the year. It has a perfect distance from the towns e.g. Beverwijk and Heemskerk and to Alkmar or Amsterdam. It has been my favourite beach village near Amsterdam in Holland so far.

It is a beautiful small peaceful town in a lovely area right on the coast. It centres around a very large grassy 'field' where local horses graze. We only found one shop (Spar) but several restaurants although the menus were somewhat limited. We found the best places to eat were the restaurants on the beach, only a ten minutes walk away.

There's a well-stocked Spar grocery/convenience store two blocks away. The hosts have pretty much anticipated all the needs of a traveler and provided for them. I was in Wijk aan Zee to visit a friend at Heliomare and this was the perfect place to stay. It had a very relaxing atmosphere and I wish I could have stayed for longer. Definitely my choice for a return visit.
