With many holiday parks in Beekbergen, the area felt quite developed, with few places where we could walk in the forest.
Beekbergen is well placed for travelling further afield, with easy access to the A50 motorway.
For a more rural and unspoilt location in Gelerderland, try the Achterhoek.

The rooms were massive.
The rooms were massive. No kettle in room guessing for health and safety so fine. Good value tea and coffee served anyway. It supports special needs youngsters as staff and does a great job. Staff couldn't do enough. Quiet and peaceful grounds. Swimming pool and gym. Food was spot on. Great!

We visited to attend the VSM’s annual steam railway gala which was wonderful.
The town and surrounding area are beautiful and clean. We used two local restaurants / bars in the town, De Smittenberg and Lau Whu which were both excellent.

A nice little town on the edge of the Veluwe national park.
A nice little town on the edge of the Veluwe national park. Great icecream shop and several eateries, plus a slightly pricey supermarket (AH)
A steam train runs close to the town for rail enthusiasts
We coincided with the visit of the Thursday Veluwe market in August, which has all sorts of traditional craft stands as well as food outlets and evening concert in the town centre.
There a several cycle routes through and around the town and the ride past the Loenen waterfall (a series of small 'weirs'/steps) is particularly pretty.
The room and bathroom were so spacious. Amazing! It's located in a quiet and relaxing property. Lovely!
Breakfast was very good. We had dinner there once, it wasn't cheap but the food was divine!
This is a disable friendly hotel and they employ people with disabilities. Bravo!
I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. Friendly staff. The hotel has a nice bar for an evening drink. Location in town was very convenient for my purpose. It isn't a very modern place, but the prices aren't on the high end either. All in all very good value for money.
Received an exceptional upgrade to the largest room, with balcony.
Friendly staff and students, that are working at the hotel. They served me a delicious dinner and a good breakfast.
The location is superb, within minutes your are in the middle of the woods.
The location was great, close from Beekbergen and the motorway for easy access to Arnhem/Apeldoorn. The tiny house felt very private and secluded even though it's in the middle of other houses. Very quiet during our stay (mid may)
Nice hotel in the woods of Gelderland, with a swimmingpool, restaurant, terrace and tenniscourt. The parkingspace is good, rooms are tidy, meals are good (even in COVID times) and personell is nice. Hotel is easlily to be found.
Beautiful location, spacious chalet and everything what you need around.Beekbergen is a small village about 2mins driving from the TopParken, where's a great supermarket and a few restaurants.Easy way to Amsterdam,Rotterdam etc.
what was fantastic was a big window towards the forest, and although the hotel is placed on a big and busy road, in my room i had absolute silence
also i had wonderful blankets and a deep sleep
