From the moment you drive up, you know this castle-esque property is something special. The lobby is stunning and fresh flowers are everywhere. We loved the flavored water upon welcome and the attention to detail in the decor is second to none. The beds were extremely comfortable.

This was my 5th trip to Windsor . Windsor is easy to navigate on foot with good public transport. There are lots of places to have coffee & good restaurants. The shop keepers & staff in the castle are friendly . I would advise using public transport if possible as taxi's are expensive & the drivers not very helpful or friendly and each taxi varies in cost to the same location.

The centre of Windsor is a charming mix of old and new. Walking through its lovely streets, you’ll find many small shops, cosy cafes, and excellent restaurants. The impressive Windsor Castle stands out in the town. Beautiful parks and riverside paths offer quiet, relaxing places. Windsor’s history and modern conveniences make it a wonderful place to visit.

Windsor is a very beautiful place to visit and we would definitely recommend going when the Windsor Horse Show is on (even if you're not an equestrian). A visit to the castle is a must.
If you stay just outside of Windsor you can find very reasonable priced accommodation. We stayed approximately a 10 min walk away from the centre.
Windsor is also just a 30 min train ride into London too! We did a day in London when we went to Windsor in May 2024

Was very disappointed. Booked a room about 9 months ago. It was so small that we both couldn’t get dressed in the room together! The price we paid, we expected better facilities! Reception was disorganised and the breakfast was chaotic! Didn’t even get a clean table to sit and eat !
Premier Inn is better than this hotel!
No lifts to our rooms nor any help provided to climb two stairs with our luggage!
Not worth the money you paid!

Windsor is very attractive, beautiful buildings, the castle is fabulous and ever present as you go about the city. We went early in the season( April) and the as the castle isn't open to visitors tues/wed the town / riverside etc was very quiet which was lovely. We were leaving thurs afternoon and visited the castle first thing , we had booked our tickets online which we were very pleased of because of the queues. It was fantastic walking around the staterooms and grounds of the castle- extraordinarily beautiful and very interesting and quite moving to have access to st George's chapel.
Suddenly the streets were heaving with people and school parties.
There are lots of places to eat - mostly chains, but we found an excellent greek restaurant by the river.
We also went on a river cruise which was very pretty and interesting. Everything was very close by. I think 2 days was perfectly adequate time see all windsor has to offer.
The station was right slap bang in the middle of town and even the riverside station was only a ten min walk from town centre. Every where is beautifully kept and clean.

You don’t need much time in Windsor as the only main attraction is the castle. We did lots of walking around the town and went in the castle. On our second day we struggled to find something else to do. But I would recommend the duck tour ! Excellent service and hospitality. Very educational and a great hour out.
Quiet area with a lovely big back garden. Excellent value for money. We brought our children to visit Lapland UK and this house is conveniently located around 15 minutes drive away. Comfortable, clean and fully equipped. Host was very helpful and it’s been a lovely private stay, just let ourselves in with the key code and we’re now preparing to leave. We would usually stay in a hotel but we found this option not only cheaper but so much better for our family having a full house and a large garden. We would 100% visit again! Xx
The food was really good at the Carvery. A generous complimentary breakfast and dinner the night before was very reasonable. The bus to Windsor old town/castle was right outside the hotel and very convenient. We'd like to give a special shut out to Tina, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and went beyond her duties to help us out!
In a word, everything! The location, the 500 year-old history of the building, the very tasteful renovation, the coziness and comfort of the rooms, the quiet, the ease of communication with the owner and his considerate touches of welcome. This would be the perfect home-base for a stay of several days in Windsor and the surrounding region.
We visited to go to a play the Theatre Royal, which was excellent, and we enjoyed our overnight stay at the Castle Hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful at all times. We received a free upgrade and the room was great with a comfortable bed and the easiest shower to use of any hotel either of us have stayed in! We will be back.
Wanted somewhere to stay in Windsor with a friend and our 5 year olds - didn’t want to be split up in hotel rooms. Flat was perfect for the kids to spend time together and a great location for Legoland and Windsor Castle. Really clean and quiet. Host was very responsive to messages. We had a lovely break.
Convenient location,2min walk from Windsor & Eton Riverside station.
5min walk to Windsor castle.
All of staffs are very kind and warm welcoming for the guests.
Their restaurant has amazing river views, kind staffs and best breakfast ever.
Very classic English style interior but not feel old.
The staff were lovely and very helpful. And the parking was tight but there was enough for us to park as we didn’t leave the car overnight but they let us park anyway.
Very happy with my stay and Breakfast was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to stay as it is so close to Windsor castle.
Just 10 minutes walk from the castle. Everything was exceptional excellent value for money and all you could need.
Staff informative and friendly. Breakfast and coffee excellent. Car park onsite. Was really surprised and delighted by this low cost hotel.
Very nice and tidy apartment. Decor was very soothing. Great location near to the station, local amenities and especially Windsor castle. Host was so kind to allow storing the luggage for additional time while we explore the area. Definitely recommend it!
We had arranged this trip for last year as part of a special birthday but it was cancelled as the hotel had Covid. It was a lovely stay in the centre and easy for visiting the castle and town. Parking was actually cheaper in the multi storey.
So convenient to Windsor, restaurants, shopping etc. Fun to be steps from Eton College! Coffee shop and grocery store right across the street was a fabulous perk!
