Paignton is fine, if you like climbing, pushing a wheelchair in the street can be hard, some street being steep. Paignton nice seafront ideal for young family. The big hotel 5 star suitable for the older generation. Activities and trips arranged by the hotel. Good food any time of the day. Torquay 3 miles away, great place to visit.

Paignton sea front was too busy for me but the actual town and the outskirts of the town have everything you need. Travelling to all the other towns and villages was very easy and paignton is a great base. The beaches around the coves are amazing.broadstones beach is stunning. All i will say is be prepared to pay everywhere to park even the beaches make sure you carry cash for the toilets too.

We stayed about 30 min walk from Paignton centre.
We stayed about 30 min walk from Paignton centre. Did go into Paignton. Quite busy on the seafront. The pier is mainly a big arcade. We couldn't access to the end of the pier when we went . Didn't go into the shopping centre.
We did get a Chinese take away from Rickshaw Boy and ate it in the car overlooking the sea ( made a change to fish and chips) We spent the day at the Zoo which was well worth it. Saw baby orangutan amongst other animals.
We went to Totnes which is a quirky place full of boutique shops, cafes and had a lovely feel about it.

Paignton has a lovely long beach and is very safe for families ,but the tide comes up to the promenade in places, it is easy to get onto the beach, not completely sandy but still able to make sandcastles. there is lots of activities too crazy golf, kids rollercoaster etc. we ate at the hotel but there are a lot of restuarants to choose from. an awful lot of amusement arcades there. it is flat to walk around, but not too many shops around
Breakfast was excellent so much choice to choose from English fry to cereals, fruit and cooked freshly was superb, having a fridge and cool fan in the bedroom for this time of the year in July was excellent!!!
Friendly family run hotel, Molly was nice and cute dogs.
Location is like my second home, where my Grandparents lived in Paignton so I've been visiting Paignton since I was a child of eight years old.
I love the hotel right near the beach, Vue Cinema and town. It has everything here! I'd definitely recommend staying here.
The breakfast was very nice, you could have a full English, or any combination.
The room and hotel were very clean. The room
overlooked Paignton sea front with a lovely view, it was plenty big enough and had everything we needed. The hotel is right by the sea front in an ideal position. It was very very busy on the Saturday we arrived, but you can escape the crowds by visiting the lovely quiet beach just around the corner. We enjoyed a meal at TJ's restaurant overlooking the sea on the terrace.
Stayed 4 nights at CleveCourt Hotel in Paignton owners always made you feel welcome when i arrived at CleveCourt Hotel was shown to my room had a nice surprise as the owner put me into a different room to what I booked had double bed and balcony with a lovely view to the sea Breakfast was spot on and lovely always had a full belly before you plan and start your day i would definitely stay again and is value for money
Friendly owners, good communication. Room was clean and the front garden is nice. Free parking when hotel not too busy. Located right in the middle of Paignton with easy access to the beach and pier. Visited during Easter holiday and pier attractions were open till 10pm which we could hear from our room however that wasn't an issue.
Vernon the owner was attentive to detail and also offered me and my wife an extra night in upgraded accomadation at a cheaper rate , i could not accept the offer due to work commitments. He then offered us a lift to the rail station, again we declined the kind offer as only 10 minutes walk.
Requesting refund. Hotel was unsafe. Filthy, smelt rooms and corridors, in all areas .
Daughter got stuck in broken lift that had no sign warning not to use. This traumatised her. Staff rude and unhelpful.
Had to find alternative accommodation. Very stressful and upset stay in Devon.
A quirky and interesting building which is over 100 years old. The staff were friendly and helpful. Requests were promptly dealt with. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable. Views from the restaurant and bar are magnificent. Easy walk to Paignton Pier and the town centre.
Great location, friendly staff, bar and entertainment was a bonus. Old hotel so accommodation was older style and reasonably good value. Parking good. Close walk to Dartmouth to paignton Steam Train station and waterfront.
Loved the hotel was amazing, the staff were lovely. The room was bigger than I was expecting. The location was amazing first time going to Paignton and we will definitely be back and booking this hotel again.
A warm welcome, a really comfortable room, a small fridge, very high tech lamp and good sized mugs for tea and coffee. Very peaceful and quiet, the ideal guest house for visiting Paignton.
My booking was room only. There are many places in Paignton to grab a morning snack. The location of the Clifton is remarkably quiet given its proximity to the town centre.
The room was large. The cooked breakfast was good. The hotel is near the beach, the train station and the bus station which are ideal for taking a day trip to other towns.
