Very disapointing I came with high expectations and they were not fullfiled:
1. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. I arrived after a long flight to Thiland and hardly a smile from any of the receptionists.
I was looking for some attractions to do and was looking through their book for about half an hour trying to decide what to choose. No one aproached or tried to help or offer advice. That happened twice.
2. It was my birthday, and a family member from
US waned to order a surprise cake for me. He called me up to ask if I got it, I had no idea what he was talking about, aperantly they just left it in the room fridge without notifying me at all + did no add the note he asked to print for me.
3. When I arrived I asked where can I change money. The receptionist said "turn right and walk 10 minutes" , the problem is after you start going right, there are 2options of turns and no one to ask as there is litrelly nothing around. They could be a bit more specific..
4. I had some ants in the room+ 2 baby spiders. I understand this is a tropical island and yet this is a 5 star resort.
5. There is no gegi milk option in the restaurant
for coffee. Only cow milk. I woul think in 2023 there ould be at least one other option for vegans.
6. There is more but I made my point..

My wife and I rate this beach experience as excellent for swimming (but not for surfing!), and although best not to swim at lower tides due to the exposed reef, medium and hight tides are excellent. It's safe , protected from the surf, and clean for kids and beginner swimmers. Best things are the great service provided by the KANTARY hotel (by a covered vehicle), departing every 15 minutes, and the free towels (for Kantary guests) and affordable restaurant at the Panwa Beach, located just over the hill.

Panwa Beach is very peaceful, away from the crowds, but not dead. There are people walking along the beach and a handful of bar/restaurants along the shore, but it isn't too loud or crazy at night. A nice peaceful getaway. As for the swimming, maybe not the best as the ground under the water along the beach seemed to have a lot of large rocks and other items in it. I wouldn't exactly recommend it for swimming. But for relaxing, boating, getting a few drinks, it's great. My recommendation would be to stay at a resort/hotel along Panwa and renting a car so that you can drive to other beaches for swimming, such as Ya Nui beach.

There was a small beach close to our apartment which was located next to Panwa Cape Viewpoint. This beach is very private, small but beautiful. Another bigger beach which is called Panwa Beach is close to the hotel Cape Panwa Hotel. There is regular free shuttle bus from Kantari Hotel to Cape Panwa Hotel, which is provides daily every 20 minutes.

Staff were very friendly , my room on the first njgt had a massive leak in the ceiling - so had a night of dripping sounds onto the floor. I requested a new room the next morning and was moved to a similar room ( with a less good view but no complaints there it was dry so that’s what counts).
Generally found the resort in need of a big update - looks and feels very dated.

Ao yon beach is small, peacefull, quite area.
Ao yon beach is small, peacefull, quite area. Sea experience 9/10 but dont forget to take sea shoe there is little amount of rock in the sea... beautifull beach and view... rent a longtail boat from the Village people for the islands around..
The team at X10 Suites Panwa are so friendly, and full of smiles. Shout out to Jira and Jason the driver for being so helpful. The views are just perfect from your room; beachfront and the pool is awesome. There is a laundry service or you can do it yourself. The rooms are clean and lots of food deliveries via the Grab App can be made to the hotel as there is no restaurant on site.
This is the only property that is well maintained and well kept, look for no other - this is the place to be when you’re in Panwa Beach.
The place was amazing from top to bottom. All needed amenities were there. The room was very clean, with flip flops and robes at your disposal, they give you a few snacks and fizzy drinks every day for free, the restaurant was good, both of the pools were super beautiful. The hotel also being beachfron, offers free paddle boards that you can use in the sea. The resort has all you could wish for. The price for the view you are getting is unbeatable and is totally worth the not so comfy location.
All staff extremely friendly and very helpful.
Paid washing machine and dryer available which was really convenient. A dryer rack also available on the balcony to hang clothes to dry.
I was upgraded to beachfront room which was even more beautiful than my original room. Easy access to pool and the beach from my room.
Full kitchen incl. Electric stovetop, microwave, toaster and kettle.
About an hour drive from phuket airport but the village life is nice and relaxing
Isolated, quiet, and very peaceful hotel. By far, one of the best beachfronts you’ll find in Phuket. The room is spacious, and the staff are very cooperative, accommodating and helpful. Food at the restaurant is AMAZING, and surprisingly not over priced like big hotels. Nothing beats the sunset view from this hotel. Good massage service. Overall, great experience in this hotel and definitely recommended!
This is the best spot in Panwa beach and the host Mr. Graham is extremely helpful. We felt like a home and he assisted us with all possible stuffs. We used kitchen and swimming pool, his house is very spacious and walking distance to the ocean and 7-11 stores.
Everything was clean, well maintained and organized. I highly recommend this place , everything is near to this spot.
Thanks

Everything.. this hotel couldnt of done enough. Very helpful and caring staff especially Toy the assistant manager she's been a amazing!
Breakfast was good alot to choose from.
Amazing views with very comfortable sun loungers.
The rooms are always clean.. Plenty of towels.
Easy access to other restaurants only walking distance and a 30 minute drive to phuket old town definitely recommend.
Room is spacious and has separate sections within a room - a living room, a bedroom and a kitchen. Kitchenware is provided so you can cook! Plus microwave. Bathroom is huge and have both bath tub and shower box. Staffs are amazing and very helpful. Lastly, there is a hotel’s convenient store with 2-min walk with friendly price. So you can replenish your snacks easily!
Superb location. Quiet. Great outlook. The staff are simply brilliant. The lady who could speak Chinese was possibly the most helpful person in a hotel I have ever met. However the full staff could not be any more helpful. The Whattsapp connection was incredibly supportive and helpful. We booked all our taxis and trips thorugh the reception team. Thank you so much!
The stuff was very friendly, the place is really claen the view is just wow 😍, the only bad thing that is the location is far from all activities in phuket i love the place also wanna tell that the sea is not for swimming its just like 5 cm the breakfast need some improvement, restaurants prices and spa are expensive
This is my 4th time staying at Kantary Bay and it is always wonderful. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Our room upgrade was very much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again - Cape Panwa is such a lovely sleepy part of Phuket but with all the facilities you need for a relaxing holiday.
A fantastic hotel in a gorgeous location right on the beach, away from the tourists of Phuket
The staff were so friendly and couldn't be more helpful
Our room was amazing, so clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony with seaview
Free use of kayaks to paddle round the bay
There were amazing staff members. I was welcomed with a bowl of fruit and a drink. When it was time to head to the airport, they helped us find a taxi. I’m very appreciative! The view of the beach and food at the hotel’s restaurant were amazing. I would highly recommend.
Staff were very good and helpful but communication was hard sometimes due to language barrier and that was the problem generally in Thailand. The design of the hotel is nice and open. Breakfast was excellent and the view from our suite was amazing.
