We had a suite that had a kitchenette, sofa and table/chairs. The beach was steps away. Cabana chairs were set up in the morning so we could watch the sunrise. Each chair on the beach and in pool area had a QR code to order drinks delivered. The bar/restaurant was excellent- fun live music. We had a party of 6 and were sat around a fire pit on comfy couches.

It was so peaceful and beautiful. Sitting on the back deck watching the sunset and just enjoying the tranquility of the evening and sharing it with friends. You can’t beat it. We’ll be back.

The location is great but our room was dangerous with a step up to the very tiny bathroom and a step up to the bed and at night it was dangerous.

Marathon is a great stop before going to key west or if you want to fish or do activities. KW isn't a great destination for that. Marathon is much quieter but also closes early.
I'd much rather stay in Marathon for a longer part and do an overnight in KW.

Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok.
Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok. They offer paddle boarding and kayak rental there. went on several trails, which were nice. Went on the old 7 mile bridge (cloudy day), but didn't get to see sunrise. Drove out to see mini deers and got to see a glimpse of one (it was not near sunset or sunrise, which is the time they recommend you go to see them).

I am extremely picky and I can say that this resort is simply amazing. Spotless. Cleanest place I have ever visited with all the luxury you could expect. Best resort in the keys ! Don’t hesitate to book this. You will not find better
EVERYTHING! We stayed there for one night while on a two day visit to the Florida Keys while holidaying in South Beach, Miami. Staff were very friendly and the food in the Restaurant was very good. Best Steak I had in a long while! The Pool/Bar area was great and the night we were there (Tuesday), there was a very good band playing, that really made our evening. Even though they are renovating the grounds, we were very happy with our stay and have already recommended it to friends from NYC and they hope to visit there before year end.
Loved location on Marathon Key, which is central amongst the keys and that it was on the water with its own marina and kayaks to use. There was a nice pool and ping pong table. Each unit is its own elevated bungalow facing the water. Felt like a treehouse! All the pots and pans for cooking and pool towels were included. Reception offered free use of bikes, games/puzzles, corn hole, and tennis/shuffleboard equipment. Each unit had its own grill and laundry machines. Everyone sits out by the water to watch the sunsets!
We wanted to visit different islands in the Florida Keys, so decided to stay in marathon because it was very central (1.5h from Key West, 1.5h from Islamorada, and 2h from Key Largo). The hotel is very nice. the room is like a tiny studio apartment where you have a small kitchen a table and a fridge. some rooms have also a small patio. the room was clean, the furniture new. there was also a nice pool. we stayed there only for 2 nights but there were people staying there for weeks.
Our room was very spacious and clean. The location was great because we were not too far from everything that we wanted to do. The view was breathtaking and right on the water! The breakfast that was served was top notch. The resort also has a hot tub which helps with working out the aches and pains of the activity and travel. One of the oldest resorts in the Keys and well worth the money!
This hotel was amazing....we stayed here after a nightmare booking at another hotel. Thank goodness that we did...this hotel was so beautiful and our room was perfect. This is the place to stay in Marathon! Staff helped us out with all our questions and needs...next time I come down I will book here. Make sure you eat the chocolate cake at the Lighthouse restaurant 😋
The best part is the on the water location. There is a small jetty next to the marina with beach chairs and a small "beach" to take a dip, snorkel, or fish. Plenty of seafood dining along Route 1 in Marathon. The location is handy to day trip to Bahia Honda state park, Key West, or Sombrero Beach in Marathon. The room was very clean.
The resort was a little bit shabby but it felt like they were trying to improve it. I found a ton of broken glass on the beach as if they had taken down a structure but never cleaned it up. The staff was not terribly professional but overall they tried hard.
The heated jacuzzi and pool was great for the kids.
Amazing pool and location right up at the ocean. Grills that you can use. Free parking. Very personal vibe as it’s a smaller property than many of the other resorts. Large reconstruction finished after hurricane Irma. We picked Marathon and doing a day trip to key west, rather than staying in key west.
I liked our room and the bed was comfortable. This was our first time to Marathon and Blackfin resort and it's a nice surprise when you realise your place on the highway is also your place on the water from the other side. The sunsets were great. It was only a few minutes by car to most restaurants.
Marathon is by far the best area to stay in the keys if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Lovely beaches near by and an hour away from key west. We are from the UK and loved the area surrounding the motel. AC was icy cold and shower was hot with good water pressure.
Being handy for all the Florida keys. Being able to borrow kayaks and bicycles for free. Having laundry facilities. Watching smart little planes come in to land at the airport. Decaf coffee in the rooms, and hot chocolate and decaf tea at breakfast.
Room was nice, tile floors. The motel felt more homey than a motel, and in a great location. Key Colony Beach is a nice community tucked away in the keys. Its in a great spot to visit all the Keys without being too crowded by large hotels/people.
We stayed in Marathon as a little stopover between travelling the Keys. The rooms were very comfortable, large and well looked after. lovely shower!
The staff were brilliant, and the beach area was a lovely addition.
We loved this hotel, right on the water which looked good from our room each Morning. The pool area was good and it’s close to everything we wanted. The price was good and there was nothing to complain about.
Very very clean hotel Manny at the front was exceptionally a nice person helped us out a lot best believe the next time we stay in Marathon Florida it'll be at this hotel King sale very happy
The staff was friendly the room was clean the shower was great the bathroom fixtures were new and unlike most other high priced Ripoff hotels in The Keys the price was reasonable
I enjoyed the number of activities provided by the hotel. Our room was on the water by the boat ramp. The breakfast was good! Perfect price for what was offered.
