The owner was super nice and friendly lady, she did not speak English, but was always welcoming us very warm, was making fresh breakfast every morning, offering coffee and cookies in the afternoon. The room had A/C and the shower with hot water. Perfect!

Cozy pousada tucked away from the busier part of the island. We were upgraded to a room with an ocean view, which was such a lovely surprise! The staff was wonderful — incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Loved having a balcony to walk out onto as well

The staff was amazing. The view stellar, the room big and clean and the breakfast with many options and very fresh. The best part tho was the hammock on the balcony.

Recanto da Bruna provides rooms in Abraão near Preta Beach and Saint Sebastian Church. The 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi.
Quarto arrumado, bem limpinho e anfitrões muito simpático.
Great spot for our family of 5. The hotel had a great breakfast. Brought In a playpen for us for our 2 yo but we didn’t even need it as the bed was very large and could fit our son in with us. our other two kids stayed in a bunk bed which they loved.
Location is a tiny bit far with the kids, but out kids actually did great walking to and from. Our only tiny complaint would be the pool was green, even though they cleaned and treated it every day. There was too much chlorine which was more irritating for me than the kids. They didn’t mind at all. Overall great!
We would definitely come back!

The entire island is wonderful and staying at Abraão was perfect for us. There were shops and supermarkets and many things to do such as canoeing and hiking. It is not the cheapest place in Brazil but really worth the visit! We had some good Italian food and enjoyed some caipirinha deals. We felt super safe also at night and enjoyed that we were able to walk everywhere!

Ilha Grande is paradise on earth, staying in Abrao is the smartest decision since is the "center" of the island. From there you can go everywhere you'd like. Either by hiking / walking or boat, you'll see the most amazing beaches, some of them even look caribbean.

Abraão itself is a place full of inns, BnBs and restaurants, but regarding attractions, Abraão is just the starting point of most "Ilha Grande" adventures.
Getting to Abraão is pretty easy, but you always have to pay attention to either the public ferry schedule or the "Flexboat" schedule. The public ferry (Barca) comes from Angra or Mangaratiba only once a day and it's the cheapest passage you can get, but it's a 90 minutes trip. The Flexboat schedule is made of different private companies and they cost about 3 times more than the public ferry, but the commute is way faster taking about 30 minutes.
I really liked staying at "Pousada Agua Viva" and their help with the commute was awesome.
The best meal I had at Abraao was at "Lua e Mar" and I ate the "Lua e Mar Grill"

I would highly recommend to spend 3-4 days at ilha grande and specifically Abraão. Take a boat trip to different islands on two of those days and spend the rest of the days just hanging out on the island itself. There is not too much to do on itself but eating at nice restaurants, speaking to the friendly locals and hanging out at the beach will make sure you will be fully rested at the end of your stay over here.
Super calm place, away from all the action in Abraão, which was great for us. There's a private beach, and the Pousada has kayaks we can freely use to explore nearby places (we went all the way to Abraão). Still, going to Abraão regularly was no issue as there's a boat that makes the trip regularly, charging 15 reais a trip per person. Breakfast was nice and varied, and the rooms were great (with a great view from the balcony and large areas). There's also a drying rack, which is super useful.
The proprietor Gerard and the staff at Manaca were incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is great, right on Abraao beach and up the quiet end next to a fantastic restaurant Lua e Mar (try the moqueca). Well worth going for the sea view room; from which you can hear the ocean lap against the shore and look all the way across the bay to the luscious mainland. Breakfast is brilliant, there is lots on offer but particular praise goes to the special house juice and fruit salad!
We loved everything about our wonderful stay at Asalem. The setting is exactly what we were looking for - off the beaten path with a great bar and wonderful staff but still close enough to town. Fabrizio and the staff were wonderful and accommodated our every need. Rooms were comfy and had everything we needed. Views were spectacular!! We traveled as two couples for my 40th birthday and I'm so happy I picked this hotel. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Isabelle was extremely helpful in communicating our stay beforehand, arranging our transport to Ilha Grande and back to the airport, met us when we arrived on the island and even helped with luggage! She made herself available for any questions during the stay and gave good recommendations for the island. The property was spacious to accommodate our large group, with good facilities and in a good location in Abraão close to the centre.
It’s a lovely place! The accommodation has everything you need, it includes transportation from/to Abraao-Saco do Ceu. You will have the opportunity to walk over different beaches, the place is nearby good restaurants (including the one at Club MV, the food was delicious!) They also include a daily breakfast with different options :) The staff and owner make you feel at home.
It’s the best accommodation of Paraty! It’s a sublime property on a private beach. 10 minutes from Abrao. Very good cuisine. Good cocktails. I come for many years in Ilha Grande, trust me Bonito Paraiso is unbeatable. Staff is very friendly. And the Argentinian owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. Do not hesitate a second
The Pousada it self is just a perfect little jungle in Vila do Abraao, very quiet and peaceful place. They are focused on the hygiene, and the place is spotlessly clean. The rooms were decent size and very comfortable. Is almost in the middle of Abraao so very close to everything. Excellent value for the money. Keep going
One of the most stunning spots in Ilha Grande, far enough away from the city centre but you are near a private beach.
Water taxi picked us up from Abraão and dropped us off free of charge when arriving/leaving.
Staff were lovely and the view from the rooms is amazing.
Also a 10 minute walk to town for dinner.
Great small Pousada in Abraão. We liked the location, close to the center yet very quiet
Everything was very clean always.
The room is spacious and has a small fridge to store food which you can prepare in the common kitchen. The owner Creuza is very nice & helpful and gave us lots of great tips.
The experience itself was really good. Breakfast was good and the room met my expectations with cleanliness, comfort and quietness. The staff support was excellent regarding activities and "Pousada Agua Viva" is located within everything you need to do at Abraao, so superb location.
Beautiful Inn, located in a quiet zone. It has very nice common spaces; I loved having breakfast and merienda while watching the hummingbirds. Rennie is a wonderful hostess. She was super kind and gave us very good advice on what to do (and what not to) in Abraão. Thank you!!
The place is super neat. Comfortable.
The owner and staff are attentive, extremely friendly and professional.
The breakfast is amazing with breads, cheese, coffee, Brazilian fruits and juices. The rooms have an excellent bedroom and pillows. Wi fi was nice too.
Loved the Pousada, perfect location, the walk to the dock with luggage was easy. Gave us all sorts of great suggestions for things to do and where to eat. Everyone very friendly. Clean, Ac worked. Breakfast was classic Brazilian, everything you would want.
The Pousada is very close to the arrival pier in Vila do Abraao, which is perfect for travelers!
The breakfast room as a great view of the beach and at night they also have lights and table outside to drink cocktails and eat great crepes!
It was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms and facilities were absolutely spotless and it felt like staying at a luxury villa. We received complementary breakfast every morning as well as an afternoon tea with snacks and coffee. INCREDIBLE!
Rooms are modern clean and very well decorated, overall a great place, probably one to best maintained room I have seen on my
trip in Brazil - breakfast is really good and the staff is nice.
the view at the breakfast and from the rooms is amazing. the people are super friendly and the location is just perfect (close to abraao but not in the crowdy center)
