Loved that we were close to the hot tub and on the lower level so that my husband who has a ruptured quad didn’t have to climb stairs.

Mostly visited with family but did eat out a fair bit. We ate at The Famous Chinese Restaurant, Patrinos, Murietta and at the market. No complaint about any of our meals but found prices higher than what we are used to back in Saskatchewan.

I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea. All tourist towns should have free parking. Since Canmore took away most of the free parking and turned it into paid we do not visit anywhere near the amount we use to. Canmore was our 'go to' instead of Banff. (Horrible parking there) We also live in a tourist town and our parking is free. the tourists are way less aggressive with their driving. Also having to use a electronic device on a machine to park is nasty. Very invasive

Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers and foodies alike. Cute little downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. Nice little bubble tea spot, and enjoyed eating at a place called Iron Goat. I like that it is quieter and less touristy than Banff (just a 15-ish minute drive away). My friend loved hiking Ha Ling a year earlier, and we loved East End of Rundle this year.
Grassi Lakes is an easy and beautiful hike too.
Climbing spots like Grotto Canyon are cool, there's even a climb around some pictographs which is really neat.
A friend got married in late April at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, it was a beautiful set up with mountains in the background for the ceremony, and a cute rustic cabin-y feel for the reception inside.
Would recommend Canmore to anyone. :)
It was just a perfect stay. The house is beautiful, very cozy and homey. It has everything you need. But the most important part of our stay was the hosts Annie and Bryan - they are the kindest people we’ve met in Canada. Every morning we started with an amazingly delicious breakfast and the chat with the owners. They borrowed us the spikes (and even warm socks) as it was snowy and icy during our stay. They gave us many advices on the things to do. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
Such a great find! I booked a 2 bedroom suite to share with my parents and it was plenty big enough and very well equipped with all the kitchen essentials and laundry in-suite.
Only a 20-minute drive from Banff it's perfect for a cheaper way to enjoy the Rockies. We also loved how close we were to everything in Canmore, making it easy to explore on foot.
The pool was an added bonus, too. Overall our stay was excellent value and I'll definitely book here for future trips.
We really enjoyed the downstairs lounge as it gave us a place to hang out with family who live in the area during our brief stay. Access to the hotel and room via security codes was easy and convenient. The room with loft was cozy and worked well for myself and the kids and the pullout was comfortable enough! The hostess prepared a special gluten free yoghurt/fruit cup for my daughter at breakfast. Ski rentals from nearby GearUp in Canmore also worked well (car required).
The hotel was conveniently located in Canmore right across the street from a couple great restaurants.
The beds were amazingly comfortable.
It is close to the train tracks but I found the hotel was well insulated and I hardly even heard them.
I slept so well in this cosy room!
They also offered a grab and go breakfast which was awesome to take with us as we travelled .
The hotel was brand new remodeled. Nice design and comfortable bedding. We really liked the complimentary beverages and bites from dining coming this fall for being first guests. All staffs are friendly and respectful. It’s cozy and good location. Closed to restaurants and stores on the other side of freeway. We definitely come back if we visit Banff National Park again.
The room with kitchenette is very convenient to be autonomous, with some pots, plates, bowls and cutlery.
The hotel is close to the center of Canmore by car and next to the highway, which is very convenient to visit.
The room is clean, but the sheets are old and it smells very strong of cigarette because of the carpet.
Out of all the hostels I’ve stayed in on this Canada trip, this one has been my favourite. The staff are friendly and accomodating. Rooms are spacious with each bed providing a privacy curtain, light, storage, and power points. Toilet and shower within the room was convenient. Hostel was quiet and centrally located.
the staff were super friendly and welcoming! the breakfast was great and had lots of options for everyone when you paid for it. the room was clean and spacious. was very affordable compared to other hotels in the area or Banff. was also pet friendly, next time I come to the area I will for sure be bringing my pup!!
This was the second time I've stayed at the Chateau Canmore. Rooms are great, comfy beds, reasonable rate, and quiet. The parking is not ideal, however it is convenient for those with smaller vehicles. Recently updated rooms at a an affordable rate give the hotel a 4star feel for the traveler on a budget.
The Drake Inn is a nice place to stay in Canmore, the room was very clean, with comfy beds. Room 30 has a beautiful view.
The on-site pub and restaurant is very good. You can walk to everything you would need.
The hotel is a bit dated, but the linens are top notch.
Rooms are spacious. Enjoy!
Good location especially if taking the bus and not driving. About 15 minute walk to downtown Canmore. Had a small kitchenette to fill up water and a fridge in the room. Good hotel if you’re just using the place as a base to sleep and not looking for many amenities/ luxury.
Room had a great view and the hotel was conveniently located next to a scenic walking path that went throughout Canmore. The hotel was attached to a restaurant/bar that had live music, an extensive drink selection and also offered discounts on food for hotel guests.
Perfect location for stays in Canmore and Banff National Park!
Right off the highway, close to amenities, perfect mountain views, clean with up to date rooms and stylish bathrooms, fireplace, kitchen, underground parking, on site restaurant... Perfect choice!
The hotel is located closer to doantown Canmore. It is also close to many attactions, such as Canmore museum , and Geoscience center, etc. In general, it has a spacious and comfortable room, the friendly staff, and the convenient location.
This is a big hotel with a small hotel feel. The staff were really helpful.
Just a short walk from the Main Street of Canmore, which is lined with great restaurants.
There's a handy small shopping mall directly across.
The Canmore hotel hostel is located in a great area and a easy drive away to Banff, Lake Louise and all the outdoor trails. The general area and washrooms were clean and kitchen area had a lot of utensils and appliances.
our favourite hotel in canmore. so cozy so comfortable and has everything you could ever need. also location is the best. in walking distance of everything. loooooved the hottub.
