Great location. My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights and had a Marina view room. The rooftop terrace is the best. Very good breakfast. On our last morning, they opened up breakfast an hour early (6:30 am) so that we could eat before our 7:30 bus. Highly recommended.

Close enough to the action but far enough away, I also felt secluded. 3-5 Euros for Uber to Old Towne. 5 mins walking too beautiful beach and 10-15 min walk to trails that lead too beaches and rock formations that will blow you away! The pool and bar area was also a vibe with great service!!!! The value for this hotel is amazing!!!

With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.
King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.
Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.
The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lagos is a beautiful old city with modern hotels and apartments outside the walled centre.
There are plenty of beaches and experiences to be seen and a fabulous board walk on both Meia Praia and Camilo .
Public transport is great with buses to most locations. The blue route links from Poto da Mos via Donna Anna to Meia Praia .
There is an abundance of good quality restaurants , go for the more traditional small ones for authentic food. The marina has a good vibe and some nice bars serving food.

Lovely marina area with plenty of restaurants, the Lighthouse bar on the marina is good for food and reasonable prices. Old town has a large and varied choice of bars and restaurants. Good supermarkets. Easy to get around Ubers are cheaper than taxis. Seems to be a rise in the number of beggars mainly in the old town. Plenty of sea excursions available such as fishing, dolphin spotting and visiting caves.

Lagos is a lot less touristy than some other surrounding towns. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town and the marina.
Lots of beaches to choose from. On one side you have the longest beach with holden sands. And on the other, lots of small beaches in between the cliffs. Some can only be reached by boat or kayak.
Top of the cliffs offer spectacular walks along the wooden paths offering breathtaking views.

Lagos is an interesting city, with a lively city center and lots of attractions and restaurants but also magnificent nature thanks to the beaches and cliffs of Ponta da Piedade. There are plenty of one day trips to go on nearby such as Sagres, Silves, Benagil, Alvor, etc.

Beautiful beaches and grottos.
Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming.
We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos was our favorite.

A friendly, small city that is welcoming for visitors.
A friendly, small city that is welcoming for visitors. There is a great selection of restaurants and shops lining historic laneways and cobble stoned streets. Don't miss the grottos from the cliffs above from the sea by boat. They are spectacular.
It was our 1st time in Lagos and the Villa Zawaia was a wonderful hotel. We stayed for 3 nights - enjoyed a yummy breakfast each morning on the terrace and found the hotel truly a perfect location for exploring Lagos, the surrounding beaches, finding good restaurants and still being in a nice area that was quiet at night. Also, we had a rental car and it was super easy to park at the free parking lot 3 minute walk away. Highly recommend this hotel!
Carlos met us at the apartment and showed us around. He had a bottle of wine there as a welcome gift! The view from the deck was amazing. The walk to the nearest and most stunning beach was just 5 mins and there were several paths across the cliff top. Only 10 minute walk to down town Lagos and the marina. It was important for me to be warm and apartment had very good heaters and was extremely clean! Carlos was very friendly and helpful.
Good location. Easy walk to town center. We did have a room that was a 5 minute walk from the reception, but that was made clear in our booking reservation. Our Twin XL room was large with a separate room with a tv and couch. We also enjoyed the balcony. This hotel was not as expensive as many of the other Lagos hotels. We were not expecting a 5 star resort. You get what you pay for.
A lot of space in the room and in the common areas. Comfortable bed and a nice pool (perfect temperature). We also liked the breakfast. Another nice thing was that we received a free drink each for every day we skipped room cleaning. There is also a private beach and they provide a free shuttle to and from the beach. On the beach there are free sunbeds for hotel guests.
The hotel is Adults-only which was so nice. Sitting outside by the pool or in front of our room or in the very nice lounge area was a luxury and there was so quiet and calm. The staff so friendly and helpful. The two maids made it a memorable stay, in the best way possible. It sfelt very much like a tranquil oasis in the the midst of the Lagos tourist chaos.
The BEST hotel in Lagos. The pool & pool area is clean. Staff are so welcoming & lovely couldn’t help you enough. Snack bar by the pool with pool toilets. No rush to leave when checking out & will still let you use the facilities. They kept luggage for us & provided a shower to freshen up before our flight.
This unpretentious hotel is right on the main pedestrian street in Lagos (and appears to be the only hotel on this street). It is walking distance to the cliff walk, beaches, and the bus station. A simple breakfast is available for 5 Euro. The gentleman who runs the hotel is always available.
Great location. My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights and had a Marina view room. The rooftop terrace is the best. Very good breakfast. On our last morning, they opened up breakfast an hour early (6:30 am) so that we could eat before our 7:30 bus. Highly recommended.
Loved absolutely everything about this small boutique hotel! Cliff edge views, world class service (take a bow Romeo!) Michelin star food, great selection of wines, clean, comfortable p, just 3k from Lagos town if you drag yourself away, definitely in our Top 3 stays!
From start to finish with the help from Jorge it was truly a 5 star service. Apartment is immaculate and bang in the centre of Lagos. If your not staying here, your missing out. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Absolutely fantastic stay and made our trip
Joao was one of the best host’s we’ve had. He was always there to help, the breakfast was better than a 5 star hotel and he helped to book tours. He had always a smile on his face and made this one of the best stays we’ve had , even better than 5 star hotels
Fantastic hotel within short walking distance from Lagos downtown area. Has beautiful pool inside with a bunch of loungers. Good quality and selection for breakfasts. Attentive staff who is ready to help with anything. You're going to love staying here.
Incredible location, delicious breakfast, and the nicest staff. This place was magic! I highly reccomend staying here if you want to feel like you’re staying at a lovely 5 star hotel with the charm and level of care as a small boutique B&B
Excellently located hotel across from the marina that offers spacious, well-appointed guest rooms and amenities. The furnishings in the lobby were beautiful. Friendly and accommodating staff. An excellent choice for a great stay in Lagos!
I'd highly recommend this hotel! It's close to the bus station, train station, the marina and the centre of Lagos. It's quiet, very clean, comfortable, modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back!
Location of the hotel is very good, right next to some famous beaches in Lagos. You can view both beautiful sunrise and sunset near to this hotel. Breakfast was good with a lot of options to choose.
