Perfectly nice hotel! We stayed for only one night as we passed through Terceira. Everything was clean and comfortable enough. The wifi was very good, good enough for me to stream and even take a work call. The room is small, but not unmanagable. The staff was helpful and kind. We were surprised at how much we enjoyed the town of Angra, it has a bit more history and architectural beauty than we found elsewhere in the Acores, and this was the perfect location to explore from.
Located over Angra Bay, this hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and is located 492 feet from the center of Angra do Heroísmo. The restaurant’s balcony offers views of the marina and Monte Brasil.

What I liked the most were the old streets, with the buildings, including the Angra do Heroismo Museum. However, there were a few minor annoyances:
1. The Tourust Information booth was useless, and you couldn't book a tour on-site.
2. The routes were pretty narrow, and people parked on the street, and nearly everyone drove, which made it a bit perilous for those on foot.
Nevertheless, the people were nice, and most spoke English

We did a lot of walking as it’s often the best way to get to know a place. Angra has much to offer in the way of history, beautiful public gardens, views - we climbed Monte Brasil - churches and eateries.

Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly.
Beautiful, walkable downtown. People were so friendly. Stunning views both looking at Monte Brasil and from Monte Brasil looking back toward town. The pink cathedral was very interesting, worth a stop in. Food was excellent! We especially enjoyed O Forno for dessert and the many tapas restaurants on Rua de Sāo Joāo. We also went scuba diving and found Nuno with Deep Blue Azores to be fantastic - wonderful dive master and very interactive underwater. Wonderful island and already itching to go back!

I was only there for one day, which was definitely not enough! Still, I was able to do a hike at Monte Brasil and explore Angra do Heroísmo downtown. Really recommend Monte Brasil if you are looking for some nature near town. Besides that the view from Obelisco do Alto da Memoria is amazing! I had lunch at Tasca das Tias, a really cute restaurante with great food.

Exceptional staff, delicious food, beautiful views. I messaged the hotel in advance that it was a special trip with my husband, and we were surprised to find rose petals and a couple candles in the room. My husband had a back issue flare up while on holiday and the front desk called around to many places to book us a massage therapist there on site with less than 12 hours notice. Truly above and beyond customer service, and such friendly staff too.
Nice stay at Monte Brasil Hotel. Very nice staff and room. I liked the location as it was in the center but it was quiet at night. The breakfast was pretty good with nice scrambled eggs and decent breads. The coffee wasn't to my liking but I find this to be the case in most hotels in Portugal. Bars and cafés have wonderful coffee so I just would grab an expresso close to the hotel. Overall experience at the hotel was positive.
Location is perfect, just on the edge of Angra do Heroismo, not far from great restaurants and just a short 10-15 mins walk to the town! Not just the villa, the owner is what makes this place great. Henrique was very helpful, bothered himself with driving us around the town and helped us to find a scooter rental and all the transports we needed. We recommend this place and we hope to come back again soon!
Well located, right in the city center of Angra do Heroísmo, this beautiful house is very well equipped with everything you might need for your daily life. Our host Fernanda was very friendly and informative.
The tidiness of this place was up to the 5 star hotel level. Never seen before in this type of lodging. Thumbs up to Fernanda for the unbelievably spotless place. To return again, for sure!
Quinta do Martelo is a magical, astonishing place and Gilberto's attention to detail is sublime. The staff are warm, extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Paul and Gilberto himself. The pool is lovely, the setting is exceptionally peaceful with some lovely walks nearby, and the food was delicious. Angra do Heroismo is stunning.
I loved the way I was treated here. All the staff is incredibly friendly, including the driver although he did not speak English. Loved my room and how clean it was. If I ever come back to visit Terceira, I'll certainly be staying at this hotel!
Some staff was extremely nice, the view of the room very pretty with amazing sunsets. The breakfast was good and the roof top bar its nice. The gym was good and the spa was good, not great. It s at a good price point for a 5 star hotel
Getting a room with a view is absolutely worth it, the view is just gorgeous. We loved the location, a little bit further from the center of Angra do Heroismo, but a short walk away. I thought breakfast had a good variety too.
Great hotel with astonishing view, helpful stuff and quite room. Is also good when someone needs to work on line as the internet is very good and there is beautiful bar on the top floor with full of places to work on computer.
The breakfast was good. The hotel location is exceptional: it is located just some metres from the ocean and at the same time it is very central. Great place if you are keen on water sports or exploration of the area.
super clean. everything looked like new and worked perfectly. all the small touches of a 4 star hotel in a small property. Fabiana is so sweet and helpful. really made the stay great. location is perfect.
The location is great, centre of down town Angra de Heroismo. ATM, pharmacy, shops, whale/dolphin watching and sea activities close by. Friendly staff, good and popular snack bar downstairs.
Well-equipped house. Clean. Close to the city of Angra do Heroísmo. Lovely garden. Very nice owners, they gave us a lot of useful information. We recommend it!!!
Hotel is very well situated in the center of Angra. Loved the heated pool and sauna, very nice view from the window at local botanic garden. Good price/quality.
