It was so nice to come down to breakfast each morning and be personally greeted by Gaetan and his friendly staff. A perfect start to the day. The tropical fruit and pastries and freshly brewed coffee were so nice.

A great place to stay ! We had such a blast staying at Aore breeze. The caretaker Russell, boat drivers John and Rosian and the truck driver Tony really made our stay on the island to be so much fun and full of laughter!

If you are going to Santo, I would not advise to stay in Luganville but rather a resort on the East Coast. Not much happening in Luganville and not close to any of the attractions. If you want a rental car, book it early and preferably a 4WD as attractions are via dirt roads and lots of potholes.

To be fair on Luganville we were there for one day on a Sunday so everything was shut. But our room wasn’t an apartment so we couldn’t even cook noodles or anything, we literally ate crisps for dinner that night. I didn’t feel safe at night in Luganville. It’s way more rural than Port Vila. But it’s right where the boat to Ratua Island is which is why we were there. However I hear the rest of Santo is incredible. I just didn’t get to see any good parts of Luganville.

This town is small and just developing so is not very touristy which suited us fine. This part of Vanuatu is quite poor so facilities are not five star in most places. We enjoyed this, expect activities to be guide expensive, but worth it.

Our trip was a bit too long since we only dived Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The weather was good the first three days then it rained and no Sun for three days.
Five days would have made it for us.
Remember there’s a plane going firecylindrede from Brisbane on Tuesday.
Great set up; our bungalow was well-designed, comfortable, had all the conveniences needed, including a gnerously sized deck. Liked having a swimming pool to cool off, a cabana for lounging around in, SUPs and a beach with reef within paddling distance, and a freshwater creek next door. The location is perfect – close enough to Luganville to pick up supplies, but nice and close to Matevulu, Riri and other famous east coast Santo attractions. Owners were very helpful and attentive, and the breakfast on the first morning was a nice touch.
Chef has 20 years experience on cruise line, menu was exceptional.
All staff were friendly, efficient and happy.
Accommodation was very comfortable, including bedding and pillows.
Continental breakfast was included.
Lovely pool and bar, outdoor dining, gardens.
Location was convenient, bakery across the street.
Staff made sure we were safe and secure during Cyclone Lola arrival by supplying towels, flashlights, water. Meals delivered to our room during that unsafe time.
Hotel has a generator in case of power outage.
Barrier Beach is a beautiful location within easy distance of Luganville. The bungalow was lovely - very comfortable king size bed and great rainfall shower. We loved being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves each night. We ate in the restaurant every day and the food was exceptional. The staff are friendly and no request is too much trouble. We were given a late checkout to coincide with out departing flight at no extra cost. Looking forward to returning to stay again one day.
What a wonderful hotel in the heart of Luganville! Mary Jane was an incredible hostess, who helped me with great recommendations of what to do and visit in Espiritu Santo island during my 3-day stay. Hotel with a great price for what it offers, where I had an amazing time, in a comfy bedroom. The breakfast and dinner options were both very tasty! I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luganville. If one day I come back to Santo, I know just where to stay ;)
-property is in the heart of the city (Luganville) so easy access to shops, restauranta, car hire, airport
-the property manager/owner Tara was very lovely - she is probably the highlight of this place. She is very accommodating, kinds, hands-on and very helpful
-the restaurant foods served good food, a good variety with quality ingredients, and super wait staff
-adequate pool for kids
-they allowed us to check out late because our flight was late in the afternoon
The property was lovely and clean. Esline and John were lovely, the locals were friendly and helpful. We took a day trip with Esline and would recommend as we could adapt the day to what we wanted.
Loved that response was trying to improve the coral outside the property and could tell. Some of the better snorkeling we had done in Vanuatu. Wish more places would invest in the coral.
Would like to see hammocks put up to chill in.
The staff were incredibly friendly and we appreciated the efforts they took to keep the place clean and bug free.
The restaurant dinners were nice :).
Loved that we had a choice of three blue holes we could kayak up to from the hotel itself.
also appreciated the very nicely compiled folder of all the activities we could do and the prices included upfront in them.
would be happy to come back!
Best staff in Vanuatu! Service was awesome and was certainly miles ahead of anything else you will experience in Vanuatu.
Very helpful with tours, advice and drivers.
Our departing flight was cancelled due to bad weather and the owner picked us up from the airport and looked after us for another night without any issues. Food was great too!
When they said beachfront. It’s right on the beach. Seperate kitchen and living room was nice. We live in Vanuatu and just wanted a brake away and we know idea how beautiful the place is. The house is nice as advertised a farm house it’s the beach and farm behind which are truely beautiful and Neto Bay for a BBQ and swim was very cool
We liked everything in the room with pool view. It was clean, comfortable, the water was hot, fridge and everything in good condition. Everyone working here was super nice and helpful. I don’t get most of the negative reviews, especially for the great price. No better place to stay in Luganville!
Fantastic location with snorkelling literally off our back balcony. The staff were all a pleasure, and it was so nice to get to know them all by name, such a nice personal touch. We stayed in 5 different places in Vanuatu, and Aore Island Resort was our favourite!
We loved the staff - the general manager was very helpful and very kind in accommodating our forced change of plan, and all the hotel team so friendly. We loved the location, with the sound of the sea breeze in the trees outside our room.
Amazing location! Loved all the staff they really go above and beyond. Food is incredible. Had the most amazing stay and can’t wait to come back. If you’re going to Vanuatu stay with turtle bay lodge, it won’t disappoint
Clean rooms and bathroom. Bed are comfortable enough. The staff was kind and polite, and were keen in helping me when I could reach them. Cheap option for low budget travel. Family owned, close to local life.
