The hosts are two brothers with passion for what they are doing. One of them is staying awake every night downstairs till he ensures that all the hosts are sleeping and they do not his help anymore in any matter. The place is also only 50 meters from supermarket, 100 meters from the beach, and 10 mins away from Milies a very interesting traditional village with a Folklore museum (free without admission), great walking paths in the nature, a beautifull square, do riding in the forest (even for starters) and you can also take a touristic train from Milies to Ano Lechonia (with spectacular views to see). The ticket you can get on board, but then noone can quarantee you that there seats left in high season. We went in May and it was fine. Generally the area has a lot to see, explore and experience. We were 7 days there and we did not feel bored a single moment.
The family-run Poseidon Rooms is situated in Kala Nera Village of Pelion, just 50 metres from the sandy beach and within 100 metres from taverns and bars.

Nick the host is very friendly and was always available with good recommendations. The room is modern, clean and with nice details. The location is top. Just few steps to the sea front, nice restaurants and a family-friendly beach. We can fully recommend it and will get back.

Despite not being not that far from Volos, Kala Nera still maintained a small seaside village feel. The beach had lovely clean water for swimming. Cafes/restaurants were good. On the whole it was very quiet, at night there was little to disturb you.

Kaka Nera is a nice and quite sea side Greek town, you can find everything you need. We choose it for it's convenient location in Pelion: close to Volos and main roads going up the mountains and East Pelion

Kala Nera is a beautiful village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful village. It has a very wide central road with many trees so you can take a walk even during the day. Many hotels and rooms to rent. Many restaurants and shops, mini market and pharmacy. It has a nice organized beach. There are other beaches nearby 10-15 minutes by car. The restaurants offer tsipouro or ouzo with meze (small plates) which means you order the ouzo or tsipouro and they also bring you small plates food no extra charge!! The food in general is cheap. Peaceful and relaxing holidays.

Nice place to visit, especially for families.
Nice place to visit, especially for families. The sea is always calm, the restaurants serve in general tasty food, reasonably priced. It can serve as a base for visiting other sites nearby (villages, beaches etc)

Kala Nera is a beautiful small seaside village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful small seaside village. But if dogs make you nervous it may not suit you, as they lie on the beach or on the streets, but are not a nuisance,in fact we found it rather charming.
Good hotel.
Kostas is very friendly and is prepared to help you with everything. A really good host.
We liked the view of the balcony (of room 12), however we realise there are balconies with less privacy.
The room was spotlesly cleaned every day
The bathroom was basic but ok and enough water pressure.
The breakfast was good with fresh products.
The hotel is somewhat old fashioned, but decent and very clean.
Location is good. 15 minutes walk to kala nera beach and centre (with a nice boulevard and good restaurants in a Greek ambiance)
Platanofylla is an oasis of trees and tranquility!
Ever since we walked in we felt like in paradise: the apartment is surrounded by trees and flowers, in the morning you can hear the birds singing, it looks like a retreat.
You have direct access to the beach as it is located right by the sea and it's also very close to all tavernas and supermarkets.
We enjoyed every minute here, we cannot wait to return here.
Thank you Maria for always being available!
Excellent location and exceptional breakfast in a great location. Nice people.
Some parts of the hotel are renovated, but our room had a very small and inconvenient bathroom, with a shower curtain that always touched you, which was not a pleasant feeling...
The small balcony was facing a pretty ugly side. I guess my report would be different if we got a room facing the sea.
If i were the owner, I would invest in a reasonable bathroom.
We loved our stay in this hotel and would come back again. It is close to the beach and restaurants, it is well equipped, has a common kitchen and a beautiful communal garden/ patio (we loved the gardenia), and its owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great but can be a bit noisy at night with the windows open as it is on the main road. The room was clean and comfortable, and we didn't mind the small bathroom.
The house located at the end of the village with a view to the mountains.
A quiet and nice neighborhood, but there is another house attached to it when we were there no one was on so not sure how is it with guests next door as well
there is everything you need fully equipped kitchen and even washing machine
The owner is very nice and helpful.
The beach is about 5 min walk. (it's not a place with a beach view)
We liked everything! We took a room with a sea view. And it is the REAL sea view! Big balcony 10 meters from the sea. You can enter the sea and swim right in front of the hotel.
The breakfast is perfect. General service is wonderful; the rooms are huge. Very much recommended.
Excellent location for daily trips to most of the Pelion villages plus 3 mins by car to the centre of Kala Nera.
Daily excellent room cleaning
Amazing and friendly staff, told us what to prioritise, where to go and where to eat.
The room had an amazing sea view.
A lovely hotel, very conveniently located for trips all over Pilion. The rooms are very cozy and comfy and were spotless. it’s a very quiet place also. Aspa is a great host who took care of everything. we would come back anytime.
The house is clean, well equipped, a short distance to the beach. And above all, our hosts were super friendly and helpful!
We had a wonderful time in Vila Valentina and Kala Nera, an amazing vacation! (-:
We stopped for a night at the hotel on our way to Peloponnese. It was clean and nice, the owner was very friendly. Beautiful garden with the sea in front. Very peaceful, great Wi-Fi and air-conditioning.
The location was amazing, very close to the beach. The house was very convenient and everything was in place, very clean. The host Nikos was very nice and helped with everything
we were welcomed by the owners- very warm and generous people who were very helpful and supplied everything we needed with a smile . The hotel is beautiful and very clean
Owner and his family are very nice and welcoming, room was very clean and comfortable, so I would be glad to return. Very cute hotel indeed. All recommendations!
