It was out of season and the hotel was extremely quiet. It was just a one night stopover and the weather was appalling.
Staff were very helpful and breakfast just as we ordered.

This was the most beautiful place. The room, as the rest of the property was tastefully decorated and furnished.
The lady who received us was so kind. We had exceptional service. My husband had been ill, and she went above and beyond what would be expected.

We have had a good time at Ventozelo as a family. Both the reception and restaurant staff were great - very welcoming and friendly. The location of quinta is simply unbeatable - it's hard to find more beautiful views around Douro. The facilities are great and well maintained, from house interior to public places. Also, we had a great time during our Jeep tour and nice wine tasting. Definitely a recommended place.

Quinta Nova is an amazing experience and the location and views are outstanding, the staff were lovely, although language was sometimes a challenge, they may have been a little short staffed while we were there as we did have to wait a while when we ordered drinks a few times. The position and overall experience was wonderful.

The Quinta de Sao Luiz, where we were staying, made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Tabuaco. The drive to the restaurant was challenging due to the serpentine road and rainy weather. I don't think there was much to do in that small town, but we had an okay experience at the restaurant.

The trip to the Quinta was through some wonderful rambling winding roads in the Douro valley. There are many places to visit there, and although we thought the location was perfect, some might like a location closer to town and not so far from Porto.

Lovely terrace, great views, quiet little village. Easy access to other areas of the Douro. Parking in the apartments’ car park is tricky if you have a big car but possible. There is also some easier parking at the top of the street nearby. Need to drive to restaurants. Limited bench space to prepare food. We really loved our stay here. Easy communication with owner. Highly recommend. Thank you.

The cottage we stayed in had a kitchenette, a living area with a view and a porch that was hard to leave. This stay requires a drive and the closest restaurants are about a 15-minute drive but if you bring a few items for meals, it simplifies the travel.
