Great location - right on the beach and an easy walk to restaurants, etc. Our room was comfortable and clean, and had a balcony with view of ocean. Great restaurant - Roberto's - on the premises. Food and menu selections were very good for both breakfast and dinner. One of my favorite parts of this hotel was all the varied spaces where one could sit outdoors: at the restaurant right on the beach (or up under cover out of the sun); on the upper level where there was a small pool and a great view of the sunset over the water; and at least one area on each floor with a couple of chairs/ loveseat/ coffee table. Highly recommend!

Next best thing to being actually on the beach, our large balcony had a view to the sunset and was an escape from the thunderstorm. Nice pool, beside the supermercado, and very well equipped apartment. The staff were very friendly, helpful and communication was great.

Pretty beach...and waves ...I would have preferred calmer sea. The jet skis come in too close to the shore and are hardly ecological. The fish restaurant on the beach is really good.. lovely staff and very fresh food at reasonable prices

Hosts were more than gracious, we had a small issue with the water heater and it was taken care of at our check out. Very nice and available people. Gave us some great advice on restaurants and places to go. Would stay there again.

Playa Hermosa is a wonderful, small area with a fantastic, calm, sandy beach and a front row seat for the beautiful sunsets. We stayed here for our last night in Costa Rica since it's only a short drive to the Liberia airport. I would suggest spending 1 or 2 nights here at the start or end of your vacation. It's a nice alternative to staying at the airport hotel and it's very easy and quick to get to the airport by rental care or transfer (25-35 minutes depending on traffic). Just make sure that you chose the correct Playa Hermosa, there is more than one in Costa Rica!

Hotel is conveniently located on the beach about 30 minutes’ drive from the airport. Hotel was quiet with only a few guests. Plenty of secured convenient parking. Very comfortable, clean and well-appointed quiet room with separate sitting area, outdoor patio with large bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was wonderful, regional foods, served in the quiet exterior dining courtyard poolside. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

The rooms were clean, the blankets were soft and white. My room was so pretty and clean with air-conditioning. It had a restaurant with an open patio and you could feel the fresh breeze and lots of birds around and monkeys down the road. The pool was beautiful. Very good air-conditioning which made the apartment very comfortable as it was hot while we were there- 32-36C during the day. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Good supermarket underneath.

We enjoyed staying there for 3 nights. The kitchen was well equipped. The room very comfortable including the bed. We could swim/stay at the swimming pool and play a pool in the little house that was at the propery. All in all, I was very happy to choose Moon Shadow and we would stay there again without any hesitation.
