Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The room was spotless and cleaned every day ( just to manage expectations, with real estate being the price it is in Manhattan the room was fairly small) The staff were fantastic- really helpful. CanadaParking was close, maybe a 10 minute walk. The garage and staff are perfect. Just wasn't a comfortable walk at 6 in the morning. That's New York.
Loved the staff and location. Hospitality was 1st class. Food was number one at the Sushi Lab (decor could benefit from a face lift). Heaven Rooftop is a great atmosphere. Good time. Again all staff were excellent. Walking distance to many shows and a half block walk to Time Square. Right in the heart of Uptown Manhattan. Who could ask for more? .

United KingdomOur stay was very good, with the exception of breakfast. I appreciate the location of the hotel is very good, however when paying over £380 per night I would expect a better breakfast. Choice of food is very basic, the breakfast staff were really miserable (bordering on being rude), very slow to replenish. And I didn’t even get a proper cup for tea and coffee!!
Location was ideal for exploring New York. Reception and door staff very very good.

PhilippinesThe hotel should have issued or handed us a written copy of what we paid for especially when we checked out. Only our bank notify us of a little sum they charged without knowing for what it was. Also it is more pleasing if the hotel is accepting cash deposit.
Well, let’s talk of the location first. It is indeed accessible to many places in Manhattan. It’s just a short walk to 5th Avenue where you can find some of the attractions in New York. The breakfast was just ordinary with a limited choices of food. Anyway, it also served us who were always on the go.

United KingdomThe noise levels were too much at night, sounding as if we had the windows open! Maybe some double glazing would help? The breakfast could also cater for more dietary requirements ie dairy free as we found the selection to be quite limited.
The location was excellent and the hotel was finished to a lovely standard. The staff were all amazing and so friendly and welcoming every time you entered the building. They were also incredibly helpful with any questions. I’d definitely stay again!
