The area nearby has lots of homeless people loitering at night. It’s a bit dangerous to go out at night.

I’m very used to this area of Los Angeles and know it’s not the safest; there were some folks fighting late at night outside on the second day of my stay. For those visiting the area for the first time, they should be aware that the character of the area changes at night, and they should remain alert if they’re walking around alone or after dark.

Hotel is central and very close to public transport and downtown destinations. I really liked that the hotel itself was very clean, and there was ample seating in the lobby and around the bar. The room is great for a solo traveller, and the bed is massive and extremely comfortable (I like a firm mattress and pillows). The shower is small but well-appointed, and the way the room is divided gives it a sense of privacy. Wifi was great and very reliable.

The sink across the bathroom was tight for two people trying to get ready. No body soap but two shampoos?

Clean, a colorful aesthetic setting, location, lounge area was large and comfortable. The room with city view on 11th floor was fabulous. Bed was comfortable, and iPad features were great for mood setting.

The only suggestions I might offer would be the addition of a “convenience store” for sundries and perhaps some modified room service for drinks/ice etc.

The decor was really eye catching and unique. My room was small but exactly enough room for my stay. Everything was clean and well maintained.

The rooms were perfect for myself being a solo traveller however for a couple the room maybe a little on the small side.

CitizenM is nicely located downtown LA, it’s modern and vibrant. The hotel is fresh, bright and very clean. My bed was very comfortable! staff are friendly, always polite, helpful and happy. I would definitely return next time I stay in LA.

Room was a bit small for two persons. The sink didnt have any filter to block any small accesories to fall into its hole. Since the vanity table was small, i accidentally dropped 2 bracelets that fell right through the sink hole (very sad) since both had sentimental value- diamond bracelet from my partner and gold rosary bracelet from my grandmother who passed away. I did report it to the hosuemaid but she didnt understand english. The hotel also did not have dedicated parking which made it a bit of a challenge for us every night after activities outside the hotel.

We like the hype modern interior and how the place and our room was kept very clean. The property had very good security too

This corner of downtown Los Angeles is transitional, at best. Drug addicts openly using in the street within 3 blocks. Would not walk more than five minutes outside the front door at night and definitely not alone.

Citizen M does the living room and co-working space in lieu of a lobby wonderfully ... and this location is particularly attractive. Like the connectivity and tablet in the room. Tight quarters but comfortable bed. Staff is helpful, friendly and professional. Outstanding food court a five-minute walk away.

Location is quite near to Skid Row, a few vagrants outside hotel asking for food and money. It was quite shocking for us.

Large and comfortable bed. Lights and blinds could be controlled by ipad, it was really cool!

The iPads for ordering food in the room are a great tool, but my food was apparently ready to go and prepared in the kitchen but just sat there for 20minutes because the order tracking said it was still being prepared. Not a huge issue, just putting this here to suggest improving communication a bit.

The hotel staff were very kind. When I couldn’t find a mailbox and was having trouble, the hotel staff kindly explained where the nearest one was located. The room was very clean, and it was refreshing to control the lighting and air conditioning with an iPad. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the bathroom, including the shower room. The lobby was stylish as well. It was reassuring from a security perspective that a room key was required to enter the hotel.
