Fred & Beau were really welcoming, friendly and helpful, made me feel like home. Room was actually bigger than it seemed on the pictures. When I left Koh Chang, I forgot my bank card to the room and they sent it with express delivery to my Bangkok hotel, I'm very grateful for that.

Nice and helpfull owners, good breakfast. Very good location ( if you want peace) The pool is great. Rooms have minimal design, but clean, with new AC., water heater. Well kept garden, beautyfull sunset from the bar. Very good restaurant just 60m.

The curtains in the room were a little small for the window and at night when the light is on you can see inside.

The Hotel is nearby restaurant, laundry, good massages, rent scooter... The rooms is big and quiet. We stayed very good there and it's so calm. The breakfast are so tasty and with many options. If we come back to Koh Chang we will stay there again. Bed was so comfortable. They helped us in everything!

Super comfy bungalows, cleaned daily We loved the water refill station and the bottles they gave us for the stay so we didn’t have to waste any plastic! So many seats around the pool and always good amount of shade The hosts were both lovely and we had amazing cocktails ,you need to try!! There are lots of great and cheap restaurants in walking distance where we had the best Thai food of our trip Overall we enjoyed our stay so much and hope we can come back one day!!

We had the pleasure of spending 9 wonderful days at the "Lazy Republique," and it was truly an exceptional experience. The owners welcomed us with such warmth and kindness, sharing their extensive knowledge of Koh Chang and effortlessly communicating in English, French, and Spanish. The entire team was incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The rooms provided the perfect retreat for relaxation, and the location couldn't have been better—Lonely Beach was just a short walk away, and exploring the entire island on a scooter was a breeze. The pool and bar were delightful, offering a serene environment to unwind and enjoy the island vibes. Pilou's cocktails were a treat, and Fred's culinary skills were outstanding, adding a delicious touch to our stay. Their expertise truly enhanced our experience. If we ever had any questions, the owners and staff were always approachable and eager to assist. It's worth mentioning that breakfast is served from 8 to 11 a.m., and we loved being able to interact with the owner's cat, adding a charming touch to our stay. We look forward to returning to Koh Chang and staying at the "Lazy Republique" again. Thank you for providing us with such unforgettable memories! ♥️

Fred & Pilou were such great hosts! We can't say enough good things about Lazy Republique. The breakfast, the clean & spacious bungalow, the friendly staff & the exceptional wine assortment. 10/10 - 3 days was way too short!

It might be useful to have their own motorbikes available to rent, but I imagine that it is hard.

Nothing really, all very nice!

Well maintained and quite modern with a laid back feeling. Beautiful views from the breakfast area, pool area and bar. Quiet location but nice local places to eat within a few walking minutes. The hosts are great and we can recommend to book with breakfast, lots of tasty options. Its lovely to watch sunsets from the bar with a tasty cocktail. Free water refill station.

Not much enjoyed our stay!

The owners and staff are lovely and very welcoming. They were super helpful in answering any questions we had about things to do. The room was comfortable and great for our week stay. It's walking distance to a great beach and just a short ride to other beaches on the island. Would stay again.

That we couldn’t stay longer since we had to fly back home

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Republique! The place is wonderful, the bungalows are very nice and comfortable and in contradiction to other places we’ve slept in Thailand: the beds are also very comfortable! Its located in a bit more quiet part of Koh Chang -which we really loved- surrounded by beautiful nature and the bird sounds really have a bit of a jungle experience. It’s close to nice restaurants and beaches and if you have a motorbike it’s very easy to explore the rest of the island. But what we loved the most about our stay are the absolutely amazing hosts! Fred and Pilou are the friendliest people who make you feel at home and we immediately felt so comfortable around them. They are very helpful if you need anything, make the most amazing breakfast and Pilou makes really good cocktails at the beautiful and cozy rooftop bar (with very nice view during the sunset!). I would definitely recommend this place and will 100% come back next time :)

We found what we wanted to have - silent location but still everything easily reachable by a motorbike or a taxi. The resort has modern-looking minimalistic but tasteful individual huts in the silent location, on the boundary with a national park. It is ran by a french couple who were very accommodating, supportive and giving great tips! We felt very welcomed!

One of the highlights of our 7 months travelling. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming during our stay on Koa Chang. Location is near to an array of restaurants and stores. Few different beaches all 10 mins away walking or in a taxi. Breakfast each day was excellent and they have a lovely bar for socialising and watching sunset each evening. Rooms are clean, cosy and make you feel like you’re in the jungle. Merci beaucoup for everything Pilou and Fred. We hope to return someday!!!

We had a very good time, since the place is perfect to relax. The rooms are comfortable and modern. It was nice to hear the sounds of the jungle. Fred and Pilou a very friendly and helpful and always open for a chat. The whole atmosphere felt very hospitable. We will definitely come back!

For the price the room was a bit basic.

The only downside of our stay was that we had to reluctantly continue our trip. We were so captivated by the place that we couldn't help but wish for a time-stopping device to extend our stay indefinitely. Pilou and Fred, if only you could have magically made our departure date disappear, we would have happily stayed forever, leaving all our travel plans behind!

It truly feels like being in the heart of an exotic and untouched paradise. The owners of the place are simply delightful! Their warm and welcoming nature made us feel instantly at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional, providing us with invaluable tips and recommendations about the island and other must-visit places. Thanks to their guidance, we discovered a charming restaurant that will forever be etched in our memories; the food was nothing short of divine! A special shout-out goes to Pilou and Fred, the incredible hosts who made our experience truly unforgettable. Their genuine care and attention to detail surpassed all expectations. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet them and be their guests. They are without a doubt the best hosts we have ever encountered. In addition to the enchanting surroundings and wonderful hosts, the property boasts a magnificent swimming pool that was an absolute savior during the scorching midday heat. Taking a refreshing dip in the pool was an incredible way to cool down and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. And let's not forget the lovely garden, adding an extra touch of serenity and natural beauty to the whole experience. Overall, discovering this place has been an extraordinary stroke of luck. We are filled with gratitude for the remarkable experience and the memories we have created. This is truly a place that leaves an indelible mark on one's soul. Thank you again to Pilou and Fred for creating such a haven of beauty and hospitality.
