Quite expensive for a basic room but that's most of Amsterdam, Stairs are quite steep, but there is a lift

Halls were outdated and dingy. Staff cleaning supply closet is right outside many rooms and they were loud every morning talking and laughing and banging supplies.

The sound insulation isn’t very good, you could hear footsteps of people walking, going up/down the stairs and people talking. During the weekend it was impossible to sleep

Rooms could have been a bit bigger. Extra Space is now used to decorate with pebbles and plants while rooms especially on ground floor are smaller. Bathroom fittings / design and their positioning can be improved to hold more things in an organised manner.

The hotel is very quiet, away from the road, and the room I stayed in was quite large, with a nice en-suite bathroom, quite spacious compared to other hotels in the area. The breakfast was adequate but I did not have much time to explore it as I would have done on other times. I will most likely return.

Hotel very central and pleasant staff.Hotel dated and could do with a revamp.No wardrobes which I found a little disadvantage as I lived out of my suitcase while there.Tea coffee available in lobby. Would stay again.

I had booked this hotel with a free breakfast included (as I always do when I travel) but when I got to the hotel they told me that breakfast was not included in the hotel rate and I was charged an additional 16 euro for breakfast which was disappointing.

The location of this hotel was ideal- on a quiet street but within walking distance to Dam Square, the Van Gogh Museum/Anne Frank House, a metro station and a flower market etc. We also benefited from having a supermarket close by where they make the best cappuccinos and apple turnovers for 1 euro each! The bedroom was spacious and bathroom totally modern. Lastly, we visited the Keukenhof Gardens via public transit and their tulip festival is not to be missed.

The building is old so it's not sound proof hence you will suffer while sleeping (celling noise due to people walking or door shutting every couple minutes)

Excellent location. We were able to walk to central station, museums and to all locations where our tours started. Buffet style hot breakfast is available at the hotel which is very convenient and we bought it every morning. One of very few properties in city center which can accommodate 4 people in the room comfortably in the family room. Our kids had their own beds to sleep on.

• Little-to-no noise insulation - I could hear people outside, people talking in the corridor, and people walking around in the room above me. • Trying to find your room can be like a maze. • The decor is dated, and I swear there was nail varnish or something streaked over the carpet in my room.

• Excellent location - very close to the city centre, and the green area out the front of the hotel with the little coffee hut was great. • Comfortable bed. • Good shower. • Decent Wi-Fi.

It’s the first time I’m staying here. The first time I had a four-bed room and it was very nice. However the second time, the double room lacked a bit when it came to cleanliness. Moreover, it seems that the walls are very thin so you can easily hear everything happening around you. Not necessarily a con, but worth mentioning
