The toilet bowl/seat is quite close to the wall. Not very comfortable, I almost always have to seat sideways- and already a small person being Asian.

    Breakfast was excellent

The stairs to breakfast were challenging for me.

The staff was friendly & helpful; the location central yet quiet; the public space cozy & warm; the fresh, bountiful breakfast was presided over by another excellent staff member.

They charged extra for a continental breakfast that we can get cheaper at a local bakery.

Cute hotel in quiet neighborhood right next to the museums and the Hard Rock Cafe and canal tours.

Cozy boutique hotel in the best location if you want to walk everywhere.

Our room was clean yet quite dusty and it was quiet at the hotel but the walls were paper thin so you felt like the other guests were in the same room as you. It didn't bother us too much but there were times where it was a bit annoying. None of the guests were exceptionally noisy, it was just the construction of the place.

There is a lot to love about this hotel. The location is superb. Right across the street from the Rhijksmuseum, steps from the canal, and close to great shops and restos. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there is aways someone up front at the desk making you feel safe. We had the small room. It was great for 2 people and the bed was super comfy.

    A typical Amsterdam hotel

I think there could be a bit of a refresh, as the shower area has tired grouting. Also, the staff should have proper firedrill training and a system of how to handle these sorts of emergencies. The alarm went off one early morning and it was chaotic in the lobby. The poor member of staff on her own was overwhelmed.

This is a typical Amsterdam hotel, in a series of old houses, designed with 'shabby-chic', quirky, Dutch originality. I liked it, as it was unpretentious and unfussy but it was NOT cheap. Actually, I found everything in Amsterdam expensive and I am from London. That said, the hotel is well-placed for the museums and trams. A real plus. I was very happy with my room.

The breakfast wasn’t great value so we only had it one of the days we were there.

The location was fantastic, and the hotel was very charming. They were able to provide a cot for ur toddler and there was still enough room to move around.

The bathroom had remaining hairs and bits of previous customers I guess. The room was remarkably small. I saw some complaints about the size of the room but underestimated that. I can say that it was the smallest room I’ve ever encountered.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Lots of museums, restaurants and shopping places were right next to the hotel. Tram 2 and 12 were near so it was easy to go to the train station and other central parts of Amsterdam.

The bathrooms were very small, especially the showers, and the door didn’t close well. So, there was no privacy.

The bed was pretty small and hard. The walls were pretty thin, so you could hear the noise from the hallway and other rooms pretty well. Also, a small fridge in the room would’ve been nice.

The room size was too small to fit a 3rd bed like we had. Also, we were not informed before that the elevator would be broken, but the staff did ask if we were ok with a 2nd floor room before giving us the keys.

The modern design, the services provided and the kindness of the staff.
