Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI can't fault anything.
This is a hidden Gem. Free tea and coffee in the reception with comfy seating and a smoking pod. Rooms were spacious for Japan standards and the bathrooms were fantastic. I wish this Hotel was a chain, because it exceeded all expectations. The location is great too, I can't fault anything!

ColombiaThe room was really narrow for two people
The hotel is well located close to a metro station and surrounded by commerce and restaurants, next to a huge karaoke building which encouraged me to go for the first time. I loved the amenities at a free selection in the front desk floor, so you can take the things that you need

PhilippinesI am not sure if there was a pantry area where I could eat. I only saw sofas and low tables.
Facilities and stuff are available on the 3rd floor. I was able to do laundry. The room is cool, and a hot bath and bidet is available. The location is near malls and restaurants.

Hotel is new and very clean. Subway entrance (with both elevator and escalator) just a few minutes from the hotel. The free coffee and cocoa is a very nice addition. Bathtub is a bit larger than the usual japanese hotel bath

CanadaIt would have been nice if we could tuck our suitcases under the bed to allow more space to walk in the room. We only had 2 carry on size suitcases so it was managable. I can't imagine if we had a bigger size.
Although the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. A lot of amenities were provided in the lobby. The location was right beside a mall, lots of places to eat around the area. Easy to find.

GermanyThey have a laundry room, but maybe two washing machines is a bit too little for such a big hotel. People have to line up to use them. Beside, although i do smoke, i'm really not a fan of indoor smoking area. They have one right in the lobby, which reeks awful sometimes.
Nice location, in Sakae district, near Mirai Tower. Facility was pretty good

GeorgiaThe wifi could have been better. Also, there was a fire alarm during my stay, it was apparently accidental but they couldnt shut it off for 30 min or so which made for a horrible early morning activity.
The location was good, very close to a subway station and maybe a 5 minute walk from the elevator entrance, so it was easy to reach with suitcases. The hotel was clean, and the bathrooms and other facilities were well maintained. Breakfast was optional and served in a restaurant close-by.

GermanyNothing!
The team was amazing, the amenity bar had more than one could dream of, and the location right in the heart of Sakae was just right. Since Nishiki tends to be a little wilder on weekends, you can hear the nightlife if you sleep with windows-but coming from Germany even this feels quiet.

PhilippinesLocation at night because it’s near clubs so there are smokers and people hanging outside or near the hotel building. They don’t really bother you but could be uncomfortable for others. Also I’ve been to a few hotels in Japan already and this is by far the smallest(by Japanese standards). You only have a small straight walkway inside the room.
Bed is so comfy! Slept like a baby. They have so many free amenities!! You can get bath salts, mouth wash, and other essentials for free. Internet wifi was excellent. It looks like each wing in the hotel have their own modem because I was connected to the East side Internet, something like that, so never had issues with it. Location is really good because of the following: 1. Near Airport Limousine Bus (did not know this prior arriving there) 2. Commercial area (a lot of restos and malls/stores for shopping) 3. Near subway and bus stations to go around the city.

PhilippinesExpected in Japan but I do find the room small from what I'm used to. I have to admit that the room I was in was bigger than the ones in hotels in Tokyo I previously stayed at.
The free flowing coffee is a major plus for me. Also, the bath salts and skin care freebies.

PhilippinesThe location is close to a station but there are a lot of locals smoking around the area which is quite understandable. The room itself is okay but quite small if you have a lot of stuffs. It will be hard to open a suitcase at the same time.
The amenities are good. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has complete necessities. The staffs are nice and really helpful. There is also a lounge where you can stay while waiting for the check in time
