Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumThe foto's gave an impression the big park was on walking distance, but we had to take the car to get there, so we could have a nice walk with our kids after a days ride. The hotel is between an autoroute and and exit.
It was an easy acces point outskirts Lyon for our days ride back home. The beds were okay and our kids slept very well in them in our family room, so that was a good thing for them :)

BelgiumBreakfast scrambled eggs were disgusting. They looked like a yellow jelly. How it is even possible to make this out of eggs?? A disgrace for French cuisine tradition. Bacon was fine. Wifi didn't work at all during my entire stay. Road travel around Lyon is complicated: you will need a GPS to find the hotel.
Hotel with plenty of space and free parking. Big room. Evening starter buffet was excellent. Some motorway noises but it didn't keep me awake. Dinner personnel was very friendly and efficient. 30min from the airport.

United KingdomThe breakfast was very expensive 29 Eros for 2 we declined it. The bathroom needed some maintenance shower attachment needed screwing back up, and bath creaked as you stepped into it.
It was convenient to get to whilst motoring through France. The evening meal was fast and tasty and the staff attentive.

FranceSmell of smoking in the room. Smell of humidity (fungus) in bathroom. Soulless rooms with very old run down furnishings. Between autoroute and another very busy road, felt like sleeping on autoroute.
The receptionist was very friendly. The bed was large and comfy.

GermanyWe had to wait about 30mins on arrive at reception because noone was there. Lift sometimes didn't work so we had to use stairs. Slow service at restaurant and we were often forgotten, had to wait so long to be served. One of the meat dish was consist of a lot of fat and couldn't eat well.
Room size is good and all of family members sleep same room. Bed was comfortable.

NetherlandsWe had been travelling from The Hague, and we arrived at 11.30pm. The room we stayed in was dirty. The toilet had not been cleaned! We did mention this to reception and it was met with a struggle to find another double room. It was late and we were tired so went to bed. There was 1 bottle of water in the room, the vending machine was also broken so the gentleman in reception did give us another bottle. The sink and shower would not drain - issues with plumbing. The fire alarm went off at 6.15am - people agitated and hotel being evacuated. Upon reaching reception, man still behind the desk, alarm stopped. No explanation given. A queue formed to ask what had happened, reception telling individuals, a man had burnt toast. I understand the need for emergency procedures, but when reception hasn’t left the desk, this communication could have been given to the guests who had woken up with a fright, many children staying in the hotel. The breakfast was not worth the money. Croissants were stale, cheese in plastic wrappers, egg machine was not working properly and a lack of selection. Scrambled eggs were cold, not refreshed when obviously sat there for a while, finally generally very poor cleanliness in the breakfast room.
It was near the motorway, private parking and it had 24 hour check in reception!
