it supposed to be a non-smoke hotel however we smell pretty strong smoke inside the lift and corridors. not sure if someone smoked inside their rooms.

The price is fair. it’s really close to highway which is convenient.

For a one night stay I’m not so much about the peripheral amenities, such as a pool and free breakfast. I’m about a comfortable and quiet rest. I feel they missed on the small comfort details. Their towels were thinner than most I’ve experienced. I regret not bringing my own pillow, as I prefer firmer. The pillowcases were marked as “soft” or “firm” but to me they all felt soft; I didn’t sleep well. The bottom of the tub, when showering, was slippery. You could see the marks where they at one time had adhesive,but that no longer worked. I couldn’t find a bath mat anywhere. My room faced the highway and through the night there was quite a bit of trucking noise.

This was my first time using this hotel. It had good ratings on the website. All the staff I interacted with were great. The hotel is located within easy driving distance to downtown, and some nice restaurants. Their breakfast setup looked very good. Lots of parking.

Perfumed air freshener smell in the air.

Clean, comfortable (love the pillows and bed). Helpful staff who granted my need to check in early. Love the view on Kicking Horse mountain. Enjoyed , the pool, spa snd fitness centre. Conveniently includes breakfast with some healthy choices.

Breakfast options were limited and the milk which was provided tasted like it was expired. You guys should step up your breakfast game.

Good location, very clean, nice rooms without damage and a very nice reception/common room area. But the best thing (and the reason I booked the property) is the EV charging on site. I drive an EV so I always try and book a hotel that offers charging.

The hot tub was out of service, which we did not know ahead of time (and would impacted our hotel choice, given that we were there to ski), and the location isn’t conducive to walking anywhere.

Not a big issue, but the hotel is a little way away from the downtown area of town, though we knew that when we booked it, so that was our choice.

Spacious, well-appointed hotel. Room was comfy, with good lighting. Breakfast had a good selection, including hot foods. We used the pool and hot tub on the evening of our arrival and we were the only ones using that facility.

We had our breakfast around 9:15. At this time the kitchen staff came and started already removing all items. This is early and not friendly.

The two rooms we booked were very separated (one at the far end of the first floor…nice and quiet) the other on the third floor at the front. The room at the front was very noisy for well more than an hour at bedtime A loud, low hum. Also the tub was dangerously slippery Putting one of the towels in the tub to stand on worked, though

Having just crossed from Nova Scotia to BC and stayed in many hotels, I would say the fees for this hotel are completely out of proportion for the services rendered. Check in was extremely slow and the shower fixture was broken. An exorbitant security deposit of $100 was added to the already outrageous charge of $363 for a very modest room. Bypass Golden and save some money!

In the parking lot, I lost a vial of gold mined in Dawson City. The price of gold is 10 - 15 dollars, but it was a souvenir that I treasured.

I stayed until 7 am in a rest area on a closed road. So I was not able to fully use all the hotel services. But I was allowed to check out an hour later than usual, for which I am grateful to the hotel staff.

the grout in the shower has mildew..a little javex will take care of it..toilet neefs it too. The ceiling in the bathroom is unfinished, green frog tape is still on the ceiling
