Tv remote didn’t work - rang property manager who advised maintenance would come and check but ….no show from maintenance. Unit wasn’t cleaned properly prior to our arrival

The kitchen and floors were not clean, blood from meat in the fridge etc. Balcony was damaged and had no floor but the door was able to be opened and children could have gone out. Really dangerous.

Location was handy to Charlestown Square and parking in the garage was good, though a little tight.

Wasn’t clean, lots of things broken or didn’t work, for example freezer on fridge broken, lights in bedrooms didn’t work, coffee or something all over the lounge. Washing machine had mould.

No WiFi at all fixed allegedly after we left the property after 30 minutes on phone to sone remote tech support who were helpful but that’s a property management job not the customer hiring a property for a few nites? New LG TV did not work as no remote ie wrong type of remote? eventually was replaced 3 pm of Day 2 after 10 calls. Stair railing was loose and potentially dangerous. Front door does not lock from the inside nor even a chain did not feel safe The side door to courtyard (which has no table no chairs or BBQ even was unkempt/depressing looking) does not lock properly from the inside so did not feel safe. The garage slide door entry also not lock again did not feel safe. Front door is a problem for child safety who can just open at will and wander onto the driveway to 3 properties garages and or the adjacent main road. The side gate to the courtyard was broken not lockable did not feel safe and fyi no red bin in sight for byo yr rubbish saw old yellow and green bins down the back so took it home with us. The only bathroom needs a good cleaning in all areas corners etc bleach the mould regroup and clean the only ceiling exhaust vent it looks like 5 yrs of dust and filthy dirt up there and at least line the old basin drawers and cupboards so they look clean. The double basin benchtop needs at sone point needs replacing as old damaged looks dirty. The kitchen needs a clean properly in corners under items especially the fat off the dirty exhaust fan as was unusable I refused to cook with that sitting above the oven potentially dripping into fresh food. Windows clean cobwebs and sills. Staff certain ones need training in std customer service skills if doing property management. The actual property is ok a good size but parts need a few minor improvement esp the cleaning and four locks and stair railing that is Anna identical waiting to happen.

Cosy up and down older style terrace with 2 good sized bedrooms upstairs and a good sized bathroom with double shower and bath. Small garage ok for a small car. Kitchen good newish with new appliances and a new TV in main living room with a small laundry and downstairs loo off kitchen. Location was ok, convenient however very noisy during daytime atm new apartment blocks opposite being built so lot of construction work.

The outdoor sensor light didn't work but I didn't have an opportunity to bring it up with hosts. The wooden door frame in the bathroom was rotted where it met the tiles which meant water was leaking somewhere.

The room was very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was well stocked and clean. There was a lovely small patio with table, chairs and garden . The location was great. Near the end of a cul-de-sac so no through traffic. And located 2 streets from the main road so no traffic noise.

The bath leaked through the floor into the kitchen below. The stair railing was loose (potentially dangerous), the instructions on which unit it was (number) and how to access both units needs to be clearer.

The bed was as hard as a rock and the join made it unbearable to lay in the middle of the bed, better off keeping them as singles. The sofa bed was sunken. Charged for use of sofa bed even though I booked it at the 3 occupant rate. Is it really that hard to have all the plates match a cheep 4 piece dinnerset from Kmart is about $20 rather than every plate cup and glass be different.

The floor was filthy, we found onion skins on the floor, used laundry packets in the sink with chemicals still in them. The stairs were small & damaged, the railing for the stairs was also breaking making it unreliable. The cutlery was dirty, the 2nd bedroom beds were like laying on an overinflated balloon.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom units, the shower was definitely a good one, could've stayed there for hours, clean & worked well. The main bedroom had a king sized bed & was pretty comfortable. Easy to find & all communication to the office was easy & professional.

Remotes didn't work for TV or air conditioning so had to get entry and go to another room to get the ones there. Couldn't connect to WiFi no matter what I did.

The property was dirty, there was a cigarette butt shoved in the couch, the strong stench of Pine O Clean was overpowering as you walked in the door. The floor was dirty, it hadn’t been vacuumed properly and the bathrooms are very dated. There was mould in the showers, the basins are all chipped and there was a smell of sewerage coming from the ensuite. We were also sent to a different place to where we booked. It was all very confusing.

The price. We paid a similar price for a 2 bedroom unit at Christmas time. The unit was small, not very spacious.

Close to the event we were attending in Charlestown and the shopping centre. Secure parking and entry to the garage and unit.

Mice inside the kitchen area, a lot of property damage, holes in the roof, water damaged cupboards in bathroom, garage door didn’t open unless opening from inside the unit, cobwebs on every window, large black spiders on the roof inside the bathroom. Courtyard gate had no latch so swung open in the wind. Front door doesn’t lock from the inside so not appropriate for small children who will open and just walk out.

There was a balcony that was completely under construction and unsafe for children. There was signage in the apartment to warn us, but it would have been nice to be informed beforehand.

Was tired - walks marked, furnishings well used, fridge dented, floors scuffed and felt dirty. The balcony was not useable as under construction. No spa bath as shown in the pictures and the spare room was made up as 2 singles as opposed to a double bed.

The place had different pictures then were posted. The place was not very clean. In fact my wife and I were unable do get out off the bedroom the lock was defective and we had to call to have some one help us. My step daughter tried to get us out from the outside but had no luck. Finally had to remove the lock to get out.

I am rating Charlestown Executive Apartments, because although we booked, and paid for Charlestown Terrace, our accommodation was at Executive!!! We were not asked if the change of location was ok, or even told that the location had changed! We have stayed at Executive previously, and were very impressed. This time we found them dirty. There were unwashed dishes, chipped glasses and damaged kitchenware, shortage of everything! stained (used?) linen, no blankets, no spare pillows or linen. No Wifi during our entire stay! I phoned reception, offered no solution. We were messaged during the day of our arrival and asked to confirm booking urgently, we had no phone service as we were on the road driving from Brisbane (9 hours away) Very stressful call particularly when although the booking was made and confirmed months ago, I had phoned to reconfirm the week prior because it was for Christmas. The keycodes text to us were were incorrect and the apartment numbers where wrong! another call to get that sorted :( all so very stressful

The advertisement in bookings .com does not reflex the address you end up at 🤷🏻‍♂️ Don’t follow the Google directions as it takes you to another of their properties. Took them 20mins to tell me I’m at the wrong location Albeit it was around the corner. It turned out to be a small room But was good enough for me as I was working.

Cleanness. Cobwebs in windowsills and on windows. Cobwebs and spiders on ceiling and corners of lounge room. dust on glass top tables in lounge room. Container of food left in back of fridge. Corners in shower recess had mildew. Toilet down stairs didn't flush controls to aircon didn't work. We assume the batteries were flat. Holes in walls in: car garage; ceiling over kitchen bench; in lounge room. 1 light fittings on stair case didn't work, other fittings were not fitting into wall cavity properly. The paved area outside sliding doors was covered in leaves and looked unkept. No towel or soap in the laundry to wash hands when using down stairs toilet. Keypad on garage didn't work. Neighbor put his head over fence and told us we had to use the key pad at front door.

Location, great Cost - great We will stay again. We strongly recommend the owner inspect the unit on a regular basis for cleanliness, prompt attention to repairs, maintenance and presentation.
