Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesFor some reason I could not connect my laptop to the wifi network in the room but had no problem connecting with my smartphone. The bath tub size are similar to the ones in Japan but it was not deep enough even for a 5 foot adult. The bathub size is not ideal for taller people. There were no slippers in the room. I had to request from housekeeping.
The room I stayed in is big in size with a very comfortable King Bed. The layout and interiors remind me of hotels in Japan with separate toilet and bath. There is rainshower head, a vanity, mini-bar, nice small table for two, a nice view of the pool. I like the open layout, concept and interiors of the room. The aesthetic reminds me of Japandi style with touches of Arabic details. The hotel offered room ammenities that were eco-friendly and sustainable. Room had a coffee pod machine, water kettle, hairdryer, bluetooth speaker with mag-safe chargee. Room connectivity to wi-fi was good, room was equipped with a smart tv and chromecast. The hotel has an excellent location, 5 minute walk from GGICO metro station. There is a local grocery store on the building across the hotel. Very nice pool and Fitness Centre fascilities. The hotel lobby is very nice and there is a small cafe to meet guests and friends. The property offers complimentary Airport shuttles. Amazing, friendly and accommodating staff. My thanks to Mariam who conducted my check-in and accommodated my request for a room on a quiet floor; and Shehab who did my check-out. As an avid traveller, I love hotels that offer a unique in style and concept other than a comfortable stay. It sparks the imagination and an exciting vibe of being at a different place even if you're staying in the city. The hotel is very relaxing, not crowded, clean, and quiet. Great also for business travellers.

New ZealandOur only letdown was the restaurant. We had a full on day and a busy day of travel ahead and decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. It took well over half an hour for our starters to arrive and there was one other couple dining that evening. The shrimp salad that was presented was large pieces of iceberg lettuce, freshly defrosted shrimp, hard avocado and a blob of thousand island dressing at the bottom, it was gross. And the mains were basic, with no seasoning. My husband actually complained to the wait staff- which is the first time in our thirty years together he has ever complained. The food was not what we were expecting at a five star hotel. Had we known, we certainly would have dined out- there are so many amazing places in Dubai to try. It was the cherry on top to spot a roach on our way out of the dining hall. To say the least, it was very disappointing to end our stay in UAE on such a low.
The staff at Grand Mercure were amazing and very welcoming. All of the staff greeted us upon our arrival. Collins was particularly helpful on several occasions. He recommended the best travel and took traffic into consideration. He listened to what we were wanting to do and offered several options of things for us to try. The car and our driver were fantastic. Our room and facilities were amazing and very tidy. The beds were comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The layout of the room was also great- very easy to use.

AustraliaI feel like , knowing that your clientele is predominantly people staying because they have a connecting flight or for business reasons. I feel like for the amount paid, the room should have had something like toothbrush , toothpaste ; toiletries on the go because of the reason mentioned. It’s just feels like the hotel knows it’s in a prime location to the airport and no other work needs to happen.
I like the proximity to the airport and the facilities like the gym and pool.

SwitzerlandThe set up of the bathroom is not ideal.
This hotel is located next to the airport, which makes it the perfect spot if you're landing late. The room was confortable, despite having no view at all. The breakfast buffet was absolutely great and I would like to mention here the great service from Darshan, Collins and Billal, whom were particularly helpful.

New ZealandAte in the restaurant - meal was very average but expensive. A few annoying quirks with the room…no hook/towel rail for the hand towel by the sink, bath towel got wet on the hook in the shower room (needed to leave the towel on the floor just outside the door whilst showering), water was tepid at best and were only supplied with one of each of 3 different types of teabags and no milk provided. Had to ring housekeeping and ask for supplies.
Used the hotel for an overnight stop between flights so were literally there for less than 12 hours. The staff were lovely, room was clean and quiet, bed was very comfy. Perfectly adequate for a quick overnight airport stay. Location great!

IsraelWe visited when outside temperatures were around 32c to 34c and inside the hotel was freezing 19c people were literally wearing jackets inside the hotel
Nice staff, clean and large sized rooms We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids, arrived 9pm kids were very tired just wanted to sleep but sofa bed wasn't ready, room service arrived after 15 minutes just to find out sofa bed had an issue and couldn't be opened (i don't blame the employee he was very nice) but it took another 5 minutes to get a replacement bed to the room and finally kids were able to sleep after 20minutes of waiting

United Arab EmiratesThe shower. Who ever designed that shower obviously has issues, serious serious issues. I can not believe that management let this design happen. It was absolutely mind boggling, for some reason they had a bath tub that a six year might just about fit into, but with no water tap or hose, it was useless. The shower itself was directly at the door into the room, the shower hose was too short to be used in the most useless and pointless bath tub ever made, plus, to top it all off, no hot water. The shower was a complete and utter disaster on a scale not seen since pompeii.
Staff were great... the room was amazing, clean, very well laid out, excellent use of space, felt extremely comfortable and honestly, there are 5 star hotels charging 4 times the price that dobnot have rooms as nice.

ZambiaLast minute change to our reservation. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment 4 months before our vacation, but the hotel notified us of the change to an interconnecting room a day before. This was very disappointing and must not happen again.
Grand Mercure is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, the location is great and most of the workers are very courteous, especially the ones from the restaurant. The food is also great, as well as the Airport transfer. I would like to specifically recognise and thank the following staff who made our stay memorable: Thazin, Irish, Ruben, Henry, Soniya, Krizzha, Janak, and Charity. The above people are truly special, and we will remember them with warm thoughts.

Saudi ArabiaIt doesn’t have a great selection of restaurants and cafés, but it didn’t bother me! What bother me is apparently most rooms have connecting doors. It is impossible to sleep or be quiet in a room if you have connecting doors with a noisy neighbor. I was lucky this time, but I just wonder why they keep building hotels with these connecting doors that make sure you will be waken up by a crying baby or a drunk idiot…
Good location close to the airport, easy and quick to reach by taxi or metro. 5 minutes to metro station to go to the airport (5 min) or all other attractions. The hotel is calmer than other properties in the same area since it has limited venues for food & beverage so no noisy parties or events. The pool and gym are nice. Nice staff at reception.
