Cosy, country style accommodation with all mod cons. The shower was fantastic as were all the room facilities. Great TV and super fast WiFi. Really accommodating and friendly hosts who made our stay so welcoming.

Fantastic tiny boutique motel in Artesia, NM. Well appointed spacious and incredibly comfortable. The adjacent restaurant is the best place to eat in town. Fabulous place. They do ask that you text in your way as they do not live on site and want to meet you at check in. Originally I thought that was a bit weird. In retrospect, it was a non issue and actually made check in super smooth. I give Adobe Rose my HIGHEST recommendation.

Situated in Taos, La Dona Luz Inn has a garden and a shared lounge. This 3-star inn has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Some rooms at the property have a balcony with a mountain view. Unfortunately there is no breakfast during the week. The location is amazing. The top floor room has gorgeous views and a very narrow staircase. There are rails everywhere so there’s no worry and the iwner, Pavo, carried my bag.

This motel is 10 minutes’ walk from Georgia O’Keefe Museum. All rooms feature a flat-screen cable TV. A healthy light breakfast is served to guests daily. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Great shower. I very much appreciated the free breakfast, fruit, oatmeal, tea etc. they paid attention to organic and high quality food. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the water dispenser in the office. I was on foot and was able to walk everywhere due to the central location of the motel, including the train station.

Linda Lundeen, the founder and owner, is frequently there to welcome you with her stories that go back many decades.

Great breakfast the people could not be more accommodating. The facility and views were magical. The most peaceful place , hummingbirds, deer and antelope everywhere. If you want a peaceful get away , this is the place. We want to experience it in the fall and winter too.

Casa Gallina - An Artisan Inn offers accommodation 5 minutes' drive from historic Taos. Free WiFi is offered. A flat-screen TV with cable channels, as well as a laptop are offered. Loaded with charm from the art to the fireplace to the overall ambience. The grounds give it such a fantastic setting and we loved feeding the girls. Richard was one of the best hosts we have had !

A wonderful home away from home during our travels. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and felt like we were staying with old friends. Situated in Zuni, Inn at Halona offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. With my wife I was on an 4200kms round trip from Kansas City and back. Each night a different stop in hotels/motels. Out of the 11 places on our trip the Inn at Halona was the most exquisite, unique, friendly, also the best value. Friendly staff, beautiful room, decorated with native textiles and artefacts, a brand new, modern bathroom, and the bonus: there were at least 20 good quality important books about Native American people in the room's bookshelf. The breakfast (included in the price) was gorgeous and carefully prepared, based on our preferences given at check in. We chose this place instead of going to Gallup and that was a great decision. This motel is a must if you pass by.

Located within 27 km of Cities of Gold Casino and 1.4 km of The New Mexico State Capitol, Casa de Tres Lunas/House of Three Moons offers rooms in Santa Fe. Casas de Tres Lunas is only a short walk away from the Santa Fe plaza and all the other attractions of Santa Fe. It is a lovely spot with an outdoor shared courtyard, in the classic adobe architectural style of the area. The room was lovely, with lots of 'character', nice art pieces and furniture, and a comfy couch for sitting after a long day of walking about! Needless to say perhaps, but it was very clean and well provisioned with everything one might need, including a fridge, tea and coffee makings, glasses and cutlery. There was parking just across the road from the accommodation, it was quiet and peaceful at night, in short a perfect spot from which to explore and enjoy the delights of Santa Fe. Even though it was so close to central Santa Fe, it was also not far (<10 mins by car) to the lovely forested areas off Canyon Rd where there is a network of well marked hiking trails (see Dale Ball trails) for those so inclined.
