This is an authentic building and the owners fully restored it. Our room was on the second floor and a lot bigger than expected and very comfortable. The decoration is tasteful and we loved the way the day-light fills the room. The rain shower is nice and spacious (were not able to use the classic tub as we spent all time exploring). Breakfast was more than complete (freshly squeezed orange juice, a variety of fruit, an assortment of bread and danish and top quality of cheese and cold cuts) and was delivered in our room but can also be enjoyed in a lovely patio & garden. The village of Beek is charming, there are various nice restaurants at walking distance (we suggest to try Pasta & Vino and Mrs. Jones). The city of Maastricht is close, a very pleasant 30 minute bike ride crossing fields and villages. The German and Belgium borders are close as well. We recommend bike lovers to rent their bikes at the Shimano store in Valkenburg.
