Managed to visit Sembalun, Senaru and Tiu Kelep Waterfall - Food available and cooked on-site. Delicious! - Wifi was strong. Toilet had hot water that came out instantly - View of Mount Rinjani is breathtaking. At night there will be a bonfire where everyone gathers and catch up - Fruits and tea/coffee often provided. Good for digestive system - Arrange for pick up with Ang. That's the best way to ensure you don't get lost in finding the place - Has a cute pet (puppy) Will definitely plan to come back!

We had a great holiday in a bungalow in a beautiful garden surrounded by nature. It is about an hour away from the airport, but being located on a plateau, it was cool and comfortable, with no mosquitoes. The staff were all warm and welcoming, like family, and although we stayed for 3 nights, we strongly wished we could have stayed longer. I am very grateful to the family for always taking care of me during my stay. They always served me coffee and talked to me every time. If you are ever in doubt about a hotel, I highly recommend staying here.

The place is literally in the middle of rice paddies. I loved watching chickens and ducks going about their business catching insects right in front of the house. Super cool relaxed vibe. Ask the local guys working there to take you on a tour. It's really affordable and you get to see a ton of stuff that would be impossible to find unless you're a local. If you're interested in herbs, you should visit here for sure. One of the guys is a trained nurse, so he gives a really interesting perspective on the interplay of academic and traditional medicine. I loved the food there, too. They accommodate vegetarians easily. The vegetable curry was addictive!

A trip to Lombok would not be complete without dedicating a day or two getting to see the local village of Tetebatu. The host and his property are lovely, he spent a few days walking the rice fields with me to see the locals working and the beautiful views, we visited a lovely waterfall and had great food which was prepared by him using the fresh ingredients located all around his garden. We walked through the monkey forest and were able to see black and grey monkeys in their natural habitat and workers preparing their next harvest in the fields all of which was practically in his backyard. no His puppy and daughter were lovely and I’m so happy I got to see the authentic Lombok for all it’s beauty. stay here!

It was a wonderful chalet, set in among the houses of Roni and his extended family. It felt a privilege to stay there and be made to feel so welcome by them all. The guided walk we did was great and being shown how to make my own coconut oil was unforgettable.
